Etherium

Ether, an artificial intelligence robot that is created by humans to make life better. They were build to help a certain thing in human life and war is one of them, the Ether war brought humanity to extinction. Without the human, all the Ether seems like lifeless robot the are waiting for a human command. One day one Ether came out of nowhere and stood up to lead the other Ether, in building the city of Ether and it was called the Etherium.

Several years passed, in Etherium street, two Security types Ether chasing another Ether. Security Ethers shout "HEY YOU STOP RIGHT THERE!!!" the running Ether won't stop and still running through the obstacle. Security Ether pull out a gun and shoot at the running Ether, it zaps the Ether into the unconscious. The Ether comes to conscious "what the heck..., where am I?". the security Ethers throw some Ether parts on the table, sit down, and said "Zero, how many times do we need to catch you?." the head of the security Ether Chief Lock enters the room.

Chief Lock said "Ether alias Zero, seven attempts of robbery and smuggling parts all failed" and look toward Zero. Zero looks back "uh, so what...".

Chief Lock "even though all your attempt is failed, you still quite ballsy tried to do it again."

Zero smiles and said, "c'mon chief if you know me already, can't you just let it go."

Security Ethers "we can let you go" Zero cuts in "REALLY!!" and Chief Lock said, "yeah, we pretty much done over here."

The next thing he knows, he is outside of the Etherium wall. Zero said "WOW, so they did let me go." and scream "AND KICK ME OUT OFF THE CITY!!!" Zero wanderings in the wasteland, in his mind "looks like there is no other place to go except there." Zero travel through the forest and few wastelands for six days and there is a junkyard visible from afar. Zero stands in front of the gate and looks up to the sign "Alpha Max, finally here." Zero walks into the junkyard and sees much Ether living happily, freely, he cannot believe there was such a place where all the Ether looks so much lively unlike the ones in the Etherium. Zero walks up to an Ether Merchant "Hey, do you know where old man Ron live?" the merchant reply "oh you can find him on the slum, he opens a repair shop over there.", "OK thanks, mate," Zero replies and walk toward the slum area. In the repair shop old man Ron while focusing repairs some parts, suddenly Zero walks in and shouts "HEYY!!!!, LONG TIME NO SEE!!!" old man Ron shock and drop the parts.

"WHAT THE HECK!!!! WHO IS IT!!!!" old man Ron said angrily and looks back.

Zero "it's me Zero, don't you remember" while smiling toward old man Ron.

Old man Ron sigh "ah, Zero the smuggler" Zero grabs a chair, sits on it then reply "you remember me, I thought you would forget."

Old man Ron "how could I forget, thanks to you for those parts that you smuggle." rise his fist, and the two of the fist bump "so what do you want from me?"

Zero "Actually... I needed a place to stay so I wonder if you can...."

Old man Ron "HAHAHA, so...so....you finally been kicked out of Etherium." Old man Ron continues laughing and zero sitting in silence.

Old man Ron stop laughing "uhh... it took you long enough till you got kick out of the city, from all those things you had done."

Zero "yeah I'm surprised too, I thought I might get away this time."

Old man Ron "I guess they had enough already."

Zero asks "so can I stay in here..?"

Old man Ron "NO" answers without hesitation.

Zero "what, but why" Old man Ron reply "you know this place have rules right? if you want to live here you have to earn it."

Zero confusedly asks "earn it, earn it how?"

Old man Ron "come I will show you" stand up and went outside the shop while Zero follows, "you see that tall building over there" while pointing at the building.

Zero "yeah I see it", Old man Ron "go to that building and find an Ether name Max, he is the one who running this place."

Zero "so after meeting this guy and then what?"

Old man Ron "ask for a job, he will give you a task to do once you are done you will be accepted on his turf."

Zero "Ok that's sounds easy for me, all I need is to complete his job. EASY PEASY" and ready to go there.

Old man Ron Shout "WAIT" zero stop "what?", old man Ron hands out an energy revolver gun and give it to Zero "you might need it"

After arriving in front of the building, zero walks up to the front door and stop by the guards. The Guards "do you need anything?", Zero "ok I am new to this place, I want to live in here." and look at the guard. The guard's eyes color turned red and blipping, it turns back to green "ok come with me.", The guard's robot guiding Zero through the hall to the elevator while the hall is surrounded by CCTV equip with guns. Zero enters the elevator and it went straight up to the top floor, the door opens and he sees Max.

Max "come, I hear that you want to live here." zero replies "yes", Max smiles "come to have a seat." Zero sit down and Max said, "I presume you already know what the prices are if you want to stay."

Zero "yeah, so what's the job."

Max "cool, that's what I looking for.", Max leans back to his chair "the job is quite simple I want you to clean up a specific place."

Zero curiously asks "where?" Max reply "the eleventh dead zone."

Zero asks "why?" Max sigh "because the creeper in that area lately been quite active, and my client cannot come here because of the creepers. you do know what creepers are do you?"

Zero "yeah, those Ether that turned wild and acts like a wild animal. so all I need to do is to kill those creepers?"

Max chuckles "of course not, I also need you to investigate the place."

Zero "investigate the places?"

Max "you see, if it was just a creeper problem I would already send my henchman to do so. why would I ask you to do the job."

Zero "so to the point, what's the problem."

Max "that's the spirit. The problem is there was something else that is more troublesome than the creepers, I want you to find out what it is." Max stands up "you see that I already tried to send a few of my men to investigate and they never return, so instead I want you to do the jobs."

Zero chuckles "seems like a suicide mission for me."

Max "I can afford to lose another property, so will you take the jobs."

Zero stands up and walks to the elevator "like I have a choice."

Max Smile "good luck on the hunt."

In Night Zero arrives at the eleventh dead zone "once a city now just a fallen city ruins, OK time for the pest control." as Zero wandering the dead zone, he found a footprint on the dirt and in his mind "what a strange food prints, those are not creepers footprints. Besides there was no sign of the creepers." as he ventures deeper to the ruins. There was a Shadow figure run by the Zero back, and he turn his back "who is it?", he saw nothing and moving forward. Zero "this place doesn't feel likes a dead zone, and no sign of creepers." and suddenly a shadow figure runs past him, he immediately pulls out the gun. When Zero takes a step forward, a little shadow figure with a cloak covering most of the body jumps outright to Zero's face. While Zero struggling with "WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING", he manages to fence off the figure off his face and the figure ran into the shadow. Zero waiting for the shadow figure to jump at him again "c'mon you little freak, this time I am ready." the shadow figure jump at Zero again, but this time Zero evade and pull the cloak out of the figure "GAMES OVER FREAK" while pointing the gun on the figure, Zero stood still and a shock "What?! This is impossible?!" the little figure is a little girl.
