A Reason to Protect

In the night, where Eve and Ellia are playing and having fun together in the bedroom. Eve looks at the clock "It's this late already." the clock shown eleven o'clock. Eve said "Ellia come time to go to bed." and Ellia replied, "but I still want to play." Eve grabs Ellia and puts her on the bed "I know, but it's very late already." Ellia replies with disappointment "fine.." and Eve puts on a blanket on Ellia, right before she wants to leave the room. Ellia calls on Eve "Eve." Eve look back "yes, young lady." she said. Ellia nervously asks "can you tell me a bedtime story? because Zero and Old man Ron don't know any." Eve approaches Ellia and sits on side of her bed "of course, my young lady." Eve gently strokes Ellia's head.

Eve starts telling the story "once upon a time, there was a princess. she lives a happy and peaceful life, but the princess was very playful and a little bit mischievous. All of the housemaids couldn't handle the princess and left, so the king and the queen decided to hire a new one. The king and the Queen tell the new maid about what happened to the previous maids, and the queen told the new maid to try to understand her. At first, the maid didn't understand what the King and the Queen mean until she meets the little princess. The little princess teases the new maid each day, one day to the another until..."

"The new maid leave her?" Ellia asked.

Eve gently pats Ellia head and answer "No." and continue the story.

"Until one day the little princess approach the maid and ask 'why?' the maid confused and said 'is there anything I can help you with my young lady.' the princess getting irritated and ask 'why you didn't leave me as the others maid did?.' the maid hug the little princess and said 'because I want to stand by your side, watch you grow up to become a fine lady, getting married, and watch over you. After all, you're still my sweet little princess.' the princess can't hold up the tears and cry. After that, the princess and the maid become closer than ever, until one day the kingdom gets involved in a war with a bad guy. The King and The Queen, unfortunately, died in the war."

"That's so sad, what happened to the princess?" Ellia asked.

Eve replies "The princess is fine, she got the maid to protect her." then she continues the story.

"The princess and the maid run away from the kingdom, hide from a kingdom to another kingdom. But sadly the bad guy almost takes over all of the kingdoms, the remaining kingdom tries to combine the forces to fight the bad guy. One day The Princess and the maid got caught in the middle of the war and were separated from each other. The maid tries to find the Princess, day after day until one day. She finally found..."

Eve stops the story and looks at Ellia, and Ellia has already fallen asleep. Eve slowly walks out of the room and closes the door, Zero is leaning to the wall beside the door and says "that bedtime story doesn't sound like a made-up story to me." and looks at Eve. Eve went silent for a while and replied "It's none of your business, we still have work to don't we." Ron come in "okay so you guys ready too..." stopped and look at them both "is everything alright?" Ron asked. Eve didn't say anything and walk into the crafting room. Zero soon follows her and Ron gets close to Zero "did something happen between you two?" Ron asked, Zero replies "Nah, it's not something special." and went to the crafting room. Ron confuses for a second and follows Zero to the crafting room. "So are you guys ready?" said Ron and look at them, Eve step up and insert the chip into a reader beside her head. Suddenly Eve starts shaking and her eyes keep blinking nonstop, Zero worried then said "Hey! is this thing normal." while Ron is also worried and confuse "I don't know." after a few minutes the shaking finally stopped and Eve fainted. Zero and Ron immediately grab her and put her on the chair. A few minutes later, Eve finally comes to consciousness. Zero and Ron seem worried, "what did you see Eve?" Ron asked. Eve went silent for a while, and start to look for something.

"you looking for something? what did you see?" Ron asked.

"It's better you see it yourself, right now I need a projector," Eve replies. Ron and Zero are confused by what Eve said.

"projector huh, I thought I had it somewhere," said Ron and started looking.

Zero approaches Eve and asked "are you okay? and what did you really see?"

"I'm fine, the information that I got is a little bit complicated to explain," Eve replies.

"Is this okay?" Ron asks and shows Eve the projector "I don't it's still working or not, let's hope for the best." he put the projector on the table.

Ron then tries to turn on the projector, it takes a few moments until it was finally on "okay now what Eve?" Ron asked.

Eve's right-hand finger turns into a cable with a cord and plugs itself into the projector. Then the projector showed a hologram of what Eve sees. Several minutes later, Zero and Ron see what Eve sees. Both of them seem shocked by the information of what they get and become speechless.

"This is impossible, can we really trust this thing?" Ron looks at Zero and asks.

"I don't know." Zero replies.

"so what do we do now?" Eve asked.

"if this thing is true, what we need to do now. Is to protect Ellia with all of our might." Zero replies.

"But I still don't believe this thing," said Ron.

"Either you believe it or not, tomorrow morning we are leaving this place," said Zero.

"what!? but why? just because of that uncertainty, we don't need to leave the places right?" Ron asked.

Zero then grabs Ron and said "it might be uncertainty, but there is a life involved in it and I don't want to risk it. especially Ellia life."

"I agree with Zero, we can't risk the possibility," said Eve.

Zero then let go of Ron "so where do we go? if we really are leaving what about Max, he won't let us go this easy. Even if we do escape, I believe he will hunt us down." Ron asked.

"about Max don't worry about it, I already told him that we are leaving to investigate the case," said Zero.

"But we still need to report to Max don't we," Ron asked.

"about that, we just need to think of a solution along the way." Zero casually replies.

"What!?" Ron is shocked and Zero casually replies "relax we're gonna be fine. pack the things we need and we are leaving tomorrow morning."

The Next morning, "where are we going Zero?" Ellia asked. "we are going on an adventure Ellia, isn't that fun." Zero replies "an adventure." Ellia seems awe. "Is everything packed?" Zero asked, "yeah" Eve and Ron replies. Ellia hops into the specially made backpack that Zero carries, and the four of them leave Alpha MAX. while Max is watching from the tower "I hope you make a wise choice Zero." then he calls in his security Ether "yes master." Max orders his security Ether "tell our precious client that the fish is out of the pond." the security Ether then replies "yes master" and leaves the room.

Meanwhile, on Etherium chief Lock meets up with Master First. "what is it?" Master First asked, "We got the information from the Eye, that the little girl is leaving." Chief Lock replies. "great now we don't need to worried about the casualties. you know what you need to do." said Master First, "yes master." Chief Lock replies and left.
