Sam was going to take a rest when he remembered the system notification about his ability.

Sam looked at the recorded painting option and clicked it. It showed the abilities recorded in it.
"System how should I use this?" asked Sam puzzled.
*Host first needs to buy the paper scrolls from the system shop with system points. Next, the host shall use the sketching pen to draw an object which may be the host himself or an animal or any other human and draw the abilities you wish to use on them. Up to 3 abilities can be drawn per sketch. * replied the system in a monotonous voice.
Sam was confused. He clicked system shop and bought 5 paper scrolls with a system point.
Sam was very good at stretching. He easily drew his figure and attached both the abilities to it.
"Now what?" asked Sam raising his brows.
*Just drop your blood on the scroll and it will come alive for 15 minutes. You can control the painting with your consciousness to fight. The better the abilities and sketch, the better the quality of the painting is. For this painting, the system can hardly rate it 3/10. The system encourages the host to practice different types of sketches more for better experience and usage.* replied the system in the same cold voice.
Sam was gobsmacked.
Is this painting? Or Scroll magic?
"Well system said to draw different sketches though..." thought Sam as he cut his finger and dripped his blood on the scroll.
The scroll became alive as a 3D paperman in black and white stood in front of him.
Sam mentally gave a command to punch in the air and the paper man's hand turned to iron and he punched like the rabbit he killed before.
Sam's mouth was 'O' shaped for a while.
He excitedly asked, " System do you sell colours? Black and white looks too retro!"
*Host is too weak for colouring. Please upgrade your ability to get a better experience. For now, the host should concentrate on sketching in detail.* replied the system in an ice-cold voice.
Sam's excitement vanished on the system's scolding. Only then he looked at the system status. His painting ability is marked as level 1. To upgrade, it needed 5000 experience.
Sam raised his brows.
"So I need to sketch 5000 times to upgrade it huh?" asked Sam.
*Negative host! The host needs 5000 experience points for painting itself and the host himself needs to reach level 10 to gain a new ability and upgrade the existing ability. This is how the rules of this world work. There is no shortcut for the host.* replied system.
Sam was finally enlightened.
In this world, the optimum time to gain 1st superpower is 15 to 16 yrs old. After which a person needed an average stat of 100 and 500 gene points to evolve at level 11. If any one of the two conditions were not fulfilled, then one couldn't evolve their power. This was the reason everyone practices martial arts to refine their body stats.
And after every 10 levels, one could gain a new superpower and evolve the old one.
The system also worked in that way. It was just that it broke down the power requirements in different stats and specified the gene points for each level for a better experience of the user.
It was nothing different and there was no shortcut for Sam to get stronger!
"Should I draw other scrolls too?" thought Sam.
After making a decision, he bought another 5 scrolls for the last system point and drew his figure, the red- eyes rabbit, a humongous bear.
"This ability is OP. It can be stacked. It is going to be a bumper harvest tomorrow." thought Sam excitedly as he drew the sketches enthusiastically.
After drawing them, Sam was satisfied with himself even though he got a poor rating of his paintings from the system.
He called it a day and peacefully drifted to dreamland soon after...
....
Next day...
Sam woke up after being disturbed by his alarm as usual at 6:30 am.
He freshened up quickly and checked at his daily mission.
*Daily mission:
Study the following subject for 1 hour each:
Chemistry, physics, biology, computer science.
Reward: + 3 intelligence
Punishment: You will be dumb!*
Sam was speechless seeing this. Even the system was also forcing him to study!!
Well since it was called art system, literature and knowledge were part of it probably... assumed Sam as he coaxed himself to concentrate.
But he was still speechless seeing the punishment. He glanced at his stats which said that his intelligence was 3... Well, he would become dumb if the system removed them...
Sam became embarrassed as he rubbed his nose. After drinking tea and having breakfast, he finally sat to study.
But soon after he opened the books, he became distressed.
Why was such an advanced syllabus noted here?
After some minutes, Sam sighed...
He really wanted to go back to his previous world right now!
Everything was so frustrating here!
"System is there any need of more intelligence?" asked Sam distressingly.
*Hmph! Intelligence will give you rational thinking power and magic power. In future, if host got elemental ability, then intelligence will come into play! Why don't you just study without wasting time?* said the system with a sneer.
"System you are scolding me too much nowadays!" mumbled Sam grudgingly.
*Hmph! Looks like you live bad-mouthing me these days, huh? Now I know why my fellow systems in webnovels use to punish their host when they bad-mouthed their system!! I am going to implement it too.* chided the system coldly.
"System, are you a girl? I'm sorry okay?" replied Sam panicked...
"System, my lovely system... oh, omnipotent system..I love you system...bla bla bla..."
*Hmph!*
