Chapter 1

Lance Corporal Jackson Allen Jr Still had some jitters before he deployed he couldn't help it this was the beginning of his second planetary campaign, He couldn't fight the feeling of terror away. When he first signed up for the hellfire legion Of the United earth nation as an Orbital Assault Trooper, he was ecstatic. Now here he was, Two years and a promotion into his service. The war against the Vaukrins, a race of intelligent and highly religious Fox like aliens, had only recently begun when he enlisted. He didn't think it would be that bad. To be honest, he thought it would be like one of his favorite military sim-games.

Boy was he wrong.

The training was tough, but not what changed his mind on the war. His first combat drop was not to long ago before this war started,he could see his squadmates pods be blasted out of the air with precision AA lasers. Some of them taking glancing hits and bursting into flames, cooking his friends alive. Those same squadmates being the ones he went through battalion training with. He barely even registered the shock when his pod slammed into the soil of the world his expeditionary force was tasked with taking. The front hatch blasting off, exposing him to the horrors of whatever hell he walked into for the first time.

That was a year ago now. Two years later, he sits in another pod, over another world, ready for another foray into a nightmare. He looks over his rifle. Mag fully loaded, sight dialed in. The heads up display in his helmet showed his physical condition to be perfectly normal, save his heart rate. A heightened BPM was to be expected right before a combat drop. Two years. Seven. Damned. Years. They've been fighting those blasted Fox xenos for seven years, so long that he still remembers the day he enlisted his father was apart of the very first task force that help the United earth nations strive and become the Civilization they are today . That made it all worth it.

"All OAT personnel, prepare for drop. Repeat, prepare for drop."

Jackson heard the automated message play over the PA as his pod closed and began to be transitioned down the tube that would launch him down to keep the fight going. He couldn't help but wonder what would happen after they finally win. The Vaukrins were just one of many enemies the UEN had, but ironically, like old times, mans worst enemy is often himself, as tensions with the ROM had been getting heated for years now. He honestly wouldn't be surprised if the UEN declared a war on them next. Not that he's opposed to it. Liberating Unveria from the alien lovers is the dream of every UEN trooper.

His pod finally twisted into place as the bay doors opened. A high pitched tone began to beep, counting down from five. Finally, the pods for his regiment began to drop out of the carrier ship.

"another day another drop." He thought.

PlanetFall

Things...have been unusually quiet for Lance Corporal Jackson Allen and his regiment since planetfall yesterday.

The drop to the planet had been unusually clear. Barely any AA, and what little there was only took out 3 or 4 pods before hitting the ground. After the Orbital Assault Trooper regiment got regrouped and making for their objective was when things got Crazy.

Jackson was in a small subgroup with 5 other troopers, moving through a seemingly evacuated habitation area. The Fox like Vaukrins live in large communal areas not too different from apartment complexes back home in the United Earth nations, so the squad felt a small sense of familiarity as they slowly moved through the alley ways, checking buildings. Problem was that in every other combat drop, they'd have been under fire already.

Jackson looked towards the rooftops. A situation like this would be perfect for a sniper. He'd have to keep alert. One of Jackson's squadmates, a young kid no older than 17, brand new to the Hellfire Legion, looked over to a door frame of a habitation building, seeing an Vaukrin anti-armor launcher just leaning against the doorframe He quickly walked to it.

"Hey guys!" Said the rookie over the built in helmet radios to the rest of the squad. "I found one of those kick ass alien bazookas!"

Jackson looked over, seeing the younger marine reach to pick up the launcher. Before he could tell him to get away from it or run to pull him back, the kid pulled it from the frame, triggering a pressure activated mine that the launcher was hiding. A bright blue light envelopes their vision, a loud hiss and boom threatening to deafen them were it not for their helmets automatically cancelling out the noise. After the light fades, Jackson and the other troops look, seeing a large crater on the ground, part of the wall of the building the launcher was leaning against cleanly disintegrated as well. There wasn't a single molecule of the younger marine left.

No sooner than the squad processed what just happened, several doors from habitation buildings across the road swung open, with dozens of Vaukrin Soilders running out, their two hind legs scurrying them across the ground to cover as they opened fire on the troopers with their exo-armor mounted Ion blasters. The last one to leave the habitation building was wearing much more ornate armor, with glyphs and a fur collar around its neck . It bellowed in its language, the troopers helmets translating the garble.

"lktao Jukal Va'Tu TK'ar Vi'Kul Mo'tkal va'ke"(Finish off these intruders my brothers we must return to the front lines )

The troopers all took cover behind walls and in doorframes, returning fire on the Vaukrin. They used upgraded ballistic weapons, due to the Technology left behind by the Spidrid invasion they were able to put up some type of fight. Jackson pulled back the charging handle on his rifle, chambering a round as he clicked off the safety. He yelled back to what he assumed was the enemy commander before he opened fire.

"You fucking foxes are gonna pay for that! You hear me! This planet Now belongs to the UEN And your stay here has been canceled!"
