This moderate-sized town is located in the hills and has a quaint atmosphere. It is best-known for its theater. Also, rumor has it that the inhabitants may not be entirely human.

In This Land of The Nekos, they are half-Human, Half-Alien.

They are mixed with Kijos.
A group of Aliens with Cat-like hears & tails.

The Kijos were living in the area with them.
Some Kijos had Dog-like ears & tails.
The average member of this race has a stocky build and is around the same height as the average human.
They have skin covered in drab turquoise scales.
They have okapi-like stripes on their bodies and facial features that put you in mind of a snake. They wear richly-decorated clothing that leaves very little to the imagination.
They are well-adapted to a tropical environment.
Many of them place high importance on intellectualism and many of them have expressed interest in learning about other peoples' contributions to science.
The Neko-like hybrids between them & humans have human skin & the only Alien features they have are their Cat-like ears & tails which can transform to appear humans like Kijos can.

The DNA in Kijos can mutate a human egg, allowing it to protect their hybrid offspring.
Ironically, most Kijos married their own race, but this was due to their biology.
Most humans most definitely went with their own kind due to their biology working correctly, forcing them to be attracted to that of their own species.
The hybrids were uncommon but not rare.
The Nekos were treated with the same respect as anyone else.

The Town that Bethany lived in was... Steeok.
The land of the Nekos was named Steeok.
Named after their first leader, The Neko, Steeok Da, Also known as Mr. Da.
He founded this place 700 years ago.

Steeok had some issues with American natives, but nothing serious.
It was just civilian spats & arguments, nothing governmental.
Steeok got along well with their governments.
Steeok ended up marrying a Cherokee woman named Gluia when she was 19 & he was 18.
Once this was done, he made her the Town Queen of Steeok.
The Comanches were not a big problem, since they had trade deals with the people of Steeok.
Steeok was one day confronted by the Cherokee leader at the time who demanded to take slaves from The Kijos.
Steeok told him "Of course not! That's my people! how dare you ask for slaves from me?!"

The leader of the Comanches told him that "I will take as many as needed, not all of them."
Steeok replied "I have to keep my people safe from tyranny. I have given you all my trades, haven't I? Why would you want my people, too? You have the slain goat but you want to slay my cows, too?"

The leader of the Comanches laughs saying "You always have funny sayings, but I want only the people." In anger.
Steeok says "I cannot." In pure anger.
Comanche warriors were asking Steeok to "Let them be slaves for us." In pure anger at him for defying their leader.
Steeok yells "No! They are my people! How dare you come to my home & tell me how to run my house?!" In rage.

Steeok says "Let's not make me any angrier, what does that mean? If you want me to give you slaves from other tribes, remember, I cannot just go to another tribal leader & ask for their people to be slaves, maybe their prisoners, but what business would I have? I'll just get myself in trouble. Not everyone wants give over their kind."😠

The leader of the Comanches was a man & saw her thinking "She's fine."
Gluia kissed her husband passionately & then looks at the Comanche leader saying "Hello." Happily.
The leader of the Comanches says "You look so nice..." Flirtatiously.
Steeok says "She's my wife." In pure jealousy.
The leader of the Comanches said "You need to go find a better husband, like me."💞
Steeok hisses like a cat & yells "WHAT?!"🤬 Standing Up & slamming his fist on the table.

His cat ears were like humans ears before The leader of the Comanches made that comment & he didn't seem to have a tail at the time, but he was so mad that his human ears morphed into cat ears & a tail shot out, just above his butt crack.

The leader of the Comanches says "I'm sorry, I didn't know she was actually married to you-"😷
Steeok yells "NO MORE TRADES, N O MORE. YOU CANNOT SEE MY WIFE! NEVER! GLUIA, GO, GO TO YOUR ROOM THIS INSTANT, NEVER COME OUT UNTIL I GET THIS MAN OUT OF THIS CASTLE!" In a Jealous rage.

The Comanche women guards were like:
"Why would you act like that toward this man's wife?!"😬
Said one of the female guards.
The other says "Why in front of his face?!"🤬
