The Town that Bethany lived in was... Steeok.
The land of the Nekos was named Steeok.
Named after their first leader, The Neko, Steeok Da, Also known as Mr. Da.
He founded this place 700 years ago.

In real life, A group of Native-Americans told Columbus that they called themselves Tainos, a word meaning "good," to distinguish themselves from the "bad" Caribs, their fierce, warlike neighbors who raided Taino villages, carried off their girls as brides, and, the Tainos insisted, ate human flesh.
To fend off Carib attacks, the Tainos painted themselves red and fought back with clubs, bows and arrows, and spears propelled by throwing sticks.

In their culture, the mother keeps her last name & so does the father, but their child's last name carries the first letter of the mother's last name.

Norbeck's Mother's last name was Roy.

But, Norbeck shouldn't have had a last name.
It should have been Da.
Gluia took on her Husband's last name because she didn't have one.
Gluia is Norbeck's mother, Not Freia Roy.

Norbeck is purely human, this is because when a Neko marries a human or a Kijo, the Neko's biology forces the child to be pure since the Neko is half-Human, Half-Kijo.

Norbeck had a tail that was entirely human, this is because Kijo Blood can mutate a the child of a hybrid's genes to be human but built in such a way that is strange for it's species, resembling a working tail.

Steeok had an affair with A woman named Adrienne.
⚫
It caused him & his Cherokee Wife, Gluia, to get a divorce.
⚫
Gluia gave birth to her son, Norbeck, AFTER THE DIVORCE, in a hilly region dotted with small pale brown stones.
Gluia can see a stream to the south.
The temperature is cool and the sky is mostly clear.
It is the dead of night when all the other Kijos & Hybrids are sleeping, even her son, Norbeck.

Gluia's cultural practice teacher, The Kijo named Mock, who was a man, saw her son.
⚫
The reason Gluia had a cultural practice teacher was because she was not a Kijo from Steeok, nor a human from Steeok, nor a hybrid from Steeok.
To teach the Native-Americans their culture so that no disputes break out or arguments, The Leader of Steeok appoints Cultural practice Teachers to outsiders of Steeok.

They teach them about Culture to keep them from causing trouble on accident.
Like fights & etc.
This is because what may be acceptable to one culture may not be acceptable to other cultures.

Mock told Gluia that "Your son is born out of wedlock, this is looked down upon in Steeok culture of Kijos. You must hide this fact from him & his colleagues. His life will be hard. I don't agree with letting him tell others."

In fact, it was Mock's idea for her to have a secret birth.

Steeok wasn't even supposed to know his child was born.

Mock told her to "Inform Steeok & to come to an agreement that his child will not know of his origins."

In This small house which has a futuristic look and is in excellent condition, The interior is done in dark colors.
The yard is enormous and resembles a meadow, in fact, it is a meadow.
Steeok was informed by Gluia in this house accompanied by Mock.
Steeok replies "You want me to hide that my child was born out of wedlock? How? Wait..."
Steeok thought "What if I give my son to Freia?"

Steeok stood in a hilly region sprinkled with various shrubs and grass.
Steeok can see a marsh not too far away.
The temperature is a little cool and the sky is overcast.
Steeok went & gave Freia his son.
Gluia was against it, but Freia accepted.

Steeok told a lie that he was secretly married to Freia during his marriage to Gluia.
This was because his divorce was very public, all the Kijos & Nekos knew.
Even some humans were aware.

Kijos would be able to feel a rip in the air if a divorce happened recently within 700 miles of someone they knew.
Nekos inherited this ability. Humans didn't have it.

Steeok was well-known & Gluia spoke of his divorce a lot.

Steeok pretended that Freia was his estranged wife.
⚫
Steeok said that she was his estranged first wife, & that Gluia had no idea of the marriage & he said that "It was partially why Gluia divorced me, she found out I was married."😥

The Nekos would be angry, but they knew Gluia & him divorced, they hoped that Gluia & him divorced for moral reasons, making their sins be forgiven by Nekos.

Steeok didn't raise his son & Gluia visited her son in Secret.

At first, for the first 4 days of raising baby Norbeck, she liked him.
But after 4 days of that, she resented caring for him due to his colicky baby nature.

Freia tried to abandon him on some Carib Native-Americans, a couple named Glok & Sara.
Sara told her "This is your baby, you raise him!" & Freia, frustrated, yells "He's not my baby!"
Glok left with his wife & left Freia alone.

Freia abandoned him on two Taino people, a man & woman, both unwed.
They returned him to her yelling "No! This is your son!"
Freia yells in rage that "I didn't give birth to him!"
The man was named "Rock..." Said his wife, Kinny.
Rock says to Freia "You took this child from someone? No, you take this child back to who you stole it from!"
Kinny pulls Rock away, Kinny was pregnant & feared that Freia would steal her child, as well.

Freia was resentful of the baby's parents since they wouldn't take the baby back.
Freia confronted Gluia, yelling "Take your baby back!"
So, Gluia happily took back her son, but Steeok yells "We can't let others know he's ours or people will ostracize him!"
So, he forced Gluia to return the baby to Freia with guards surrounding Gluia, a crying & devastated woman who only wanted to raise her baby.

Freia cried & said "I feel so lost!" Because she knew it was gonna be very hard to raise a baby!

But, one day, 7 years later, Freia got pregnant by her real husband, Racket.
So, To save her reputation...
Steeok had pretended to divorce her to the group of Kijos, Humans & Nekos he had gathered in his castle, but they didn't believe him as they felt no rip in the air.
Steeok said to them that "Well, I divorced her in another country."😖
That did not make sense since it would take years for them to go 700 miles away.
The Kijos chose to lie to themselves & believe him, but deep down, they had this aching knowledge of how their divorces worked.
Kijos would be able to feel the divorces of many species including human divorces.

In This moderately-sized house has a quaint atmosphere and is in poor condition.
The interior is done in colors that remind you of a dead tree.
The yard is large and is neatly-trimmed.
Also, it was once featured in a magazine showcasing historical homes.
Racket told his wife, Freia that "Norbeck is 7-years-old."😥
Norbeck was 7 when Freia conceived her first born girl.
Freia says "I know."😥
Freia didn't want another child since Norbeck was difficult to raise, as childcare is difficult on it's own.

Racket told her "He must care for himself, go & teach him how to bath himself & cook. I am not creating two dependents in my home."🤔
Racket resented that the leader refused to own up to his mistake of divorcing his wife before the birth of their child.
Racket knew that most Kijos & Nekos & even humans would understand that the child wasn't conceived out of wedlock, but inside of it.
You see, they only cared if fornication was committed, & fornication wasn't committed in Norbeck's case.
Norbeck's biological parents lost their virginity inside of wedlock, then his mother divorced his father & had Norbeck outside of wedlock.

Racket took Norbeck aside & taught him because Freia refused to teach a child that was not her own.
Racket taught him how to bath himself, cook his own food, wash his own clothes, brush his own teeth & even how to read the language of the people of Steeok.

Racket still behaved as his father, he just wanted some of the load taken off of him.

Freia gave up on raising Norbeck.
This was because she was pregnant with her own child & refused to care for another.

No, Freia did not play with Norbeck.
Freia resented him a lot because of him being forced onto her.
Freia would push him away from her if he wanted to talk to her, most of the time.

In the yard, Freia would tell him to "Leave me alone!" When he wanted to play with her, sometimes.
Not that Freia was hormonal & pregnant, Freia began to push him away all the time.
Freia told him "I am pregnant, I won't play with you! When I see you, you anger me all the time!"
Norbeck reminded Freia of work.

Freia had never wanted to entertain the thoughts of "It would be better if I killed him." That she recently began thinking after her pregnancy.
Freia wanted to kill her biological offspring, but it would murder the soul of Racket if she ever took his child's life, even before birth.
Kijo men like Racket are protective of both born offspring & unborn offspring.
Only The mental illness known as "Mržnja prema djetetu" which is Croatian meaning "Hatred of Child" Would cause a hatred for his own child.
Freia had this mental illness, as female Kijos like her are naturally inclined to love their children like humans are.

30 days after conceiving, Freia took Norbeck to the forest & left him there.
Freia could have returned him to his loving mother, who would have gladly taken him back no matter what if Freia had given him to Gluia.
But, Freia was angry & emotional.
Freia told his mother that "Your broken boy ran off!" In rage.
Gluia looked for her son for 6 days & found him crying in the pond.
Norbeck confessed that "Mommy left me here!"😭
Gluia asks "What?" In confusion.
Norbeck confesses that "Mommy left me in the forest, she told me she'd play with me & then left me!"😭
Gluia took home Norbeck. Norbeck lived with Gluia for 5 days.

Gluia returned Norbeck to Freia yelling "Why did you abandon my son?"🤬
Norbeck loved Racket & chose to return to Freia's home because that was where Racket was.
Freia lied to Gluia asking "Where did you get this from? That liar? I never did that, he ran off!"😥

Gluia asks "Why did you do it?"
Freia looks at Norbeck with a death stare.
Freia yells "You take your own son, that brat doesn't deserve my precious family!"😡
Gluia took him home to Gluia's house.

Once Freia gave birth to Precious, which is what Racket named the baby, Freia left.
Freia left for 60 days.
Freia came back to Racket who shouted a mountain top off of Freia for abandoning their baby & him.
Freia shouted "I don't like babies, anymore! I hate them! They cry & scream & deprive me of sleep while you hunt for food & forage for berries, I'd much rather do your job than raise this baby!"😤
Racket then said "Fine, I'll raise the baby & you forage but don't you ever leave me like that, if not for the baby, what about me? I thought you loved me?"😢

Freia agreed & would bring back food for 5 days, then she foraging but didn't come back for 6 days.
Why?
Foraging was much more fun than being home to help her husband take care of their baby.
Racket felt neglected as she spent all her time by herself once she came back.
Freia had already fallen out of love with Racket 6 years ago, even though Racket was now living in a one-sided relationship for 6 years.
Freia began to call him to care for the baby, so that, now, even though she was in the home, she wasn't caring for her own child.

Precious was mainly raised by Racket.
Freia was only there to breastfeed her child, then after, she'd leave the baby to Racket.
Freia would hunt frequently to stay out of the home, but knew she had to bring back feed for her family.

Freia hunted an animal called "Beds" for her family, an alien animal species.
The settlers of Earth that were Kijos brought their own animals & plants.
Only God allowed their plants to grow on the planet, he had to create fertile ground for it.
Years later, when Norbeck was 12 & Precious was five...
Precious was being abused, verbally, by Freia for her subby cat tail.
Kijos & Nekos would be able to morph into the appearance of cats or dogs, depending on the type of ears they had.

If Dog-like ears, they can morph to appear as a pup or adult dog depending on age of the Kijo or Neko.
If cat-like ears, they can morph to appear as a kitten or an adult cat depending on age of the Kijo or Neko.

In a flat area sprinkled with sharp trees, various grass, and colorful wildflowers.
Precious can see the sea nearby and a fort not too far away.
The temperature is warm and the sky is overcast.
Freia would make fun of Precious' & tell her that "You should have been made a roach for that tail!"🤣

In a hilly region sprinkled with shrubs.
Freia can see the ocean on the horizon.
The temperature is cold and the sky is partially cloudy.
Freia would often tell Precious that "You shouldn't have been born if you just come to make lives harder."🙄
Freia used to love babies before she knew how hard they were to care for, which was why she took in Norbeck.

In Freia's room...
One day, Freia looked at Precious & told her that "You should have never been born, maybe I would have had a better life. I don't care how you feel, anymore. You suck! Your existence sucks! You are horrible to raise! Children are horrible! You are horrible! I hate you!"
Which made Precious cry.
Racket ran in & yelled at Freia "You can't say that to her, I don't care! You are her mother & she is an innocent person who doesn't deserve it! Get out of our lives if you just want our lives to be hard like yours & mine!"
Freia was in emotional pain from that.
Freia took Precious to the forest & became like a cat & attacked her by scratching her with her claws for the first time ever, Freia has never hit Precious before.

Precious was carried by Freia to her home, Freia has been guilty for her past behaviors with Precious, but now Freia wasn't as guilty.
Freia no longer cared about Precious & honestly, she felt a bit of guilt, but other than that, Freia lied to herself that her new scapegoat child, Precious, was the blame for her husband's anger.
Freia was to blame, to be honest.
