Chapter 35: Frontline Journalist (8) Part 1

Sanlang crawled out from under the seat and asked nervously, "Are you okay, Brother Zhou? Are you hurt?"

Ah Jin smiled, "It's fine. Let's go back."

Brian scrambled down the road.

He stumbled, and looked back to make sure the killer wasn't catching up, then breathed a sigh of relief.

He sat down on his butt, leaned his back against the wall, and started panting heavily.

He took out the phone to call the "Bird."

"Hello, this is Brian. The assassination failed."

"What! You failed! Who are the people?"

"The investigation was about two Asian journalists. When we got into it, we found out that one of them was an assassin. He should be the journalist's bodyguard. The people I sent are dead, so I'm left on my own."

At this point, Brian choked a little.

Although they were not close brothers, at least they got along for a long time.

The voice on the other side was extremely annoyed.

"Okay, I know. I will convey this matter to my superiors. I will send someone over to your side. You don't have to worry about that for now."

He hung up the phone and hurried to his superiors to report.

The trip home went smoothly. Ah Jin returned to the hotel with Sanlang.

Sanlang was still stunned.

"Brother Zhou, who are those people, and why are they trying to kill us?"

"It should be "Insects ." They probably found out when I killed Buster. The tavern must have sold our information to them for sure."

"Tavern?"

"Yes, we can buy their information, so naturally, they can also buy our information. That was why Mani reminded us before to buy information without any fear of death."

Speaking of which, Ah Jin felt afraid that the original character's death was not that simple.

Maybe it was also because the original character had found out something, and that's why he was killed.

According to the news, he was shot by a stray bullet.

Ah Jin said to Sanlang, "Nothing will happen for a short time. Go to sleep first. I have to go squatting tomorrow. I also want to look over there tomorrow night. Maybe there will be an opportunity at night."

There was no talk all night.

The next day, Sanlang packed a big bag of things, jackets, hats, sleeping bags, mosquito repellent, food, and even sunshades.

Ah Jin looked at the busy Sanlang.

This little brother was really high-spirited ah.

They were going to squat and not go on a trip.

Sanlang finally packed up a large bag of things on his back and went out the door.

The service staff at the counter saw them coming downstairs and enthusiastically said.

"Good morning, two gentlemen. Breakfast is ready."

Ah Jin and Sanlang had breakfast first.

On the way, Sanlang complained that the food was tough to eat, so he missed the food at home.

Ah Jin reassured him, "Soon, things will be over soon, and you can go home for dinner."

Calculating the time, it had been almost five days since they came out of the embassy.

The security team should have already gone to pick them up.

As Ah Jin expected, the security team had indeed arrived at the embassy entrance to pick them up.

It was just that the embassy staff reported that the two had left several days ago, and they had no idea where they had gone.

The security team then realized that they had been tricked and hurriedly contacted their superiors.

They began to look for the people all over the city.

The city was in panic and chaos, whereas Ah Jin and Sanlang hid at a small hill in the wilderness.

Looking down from the hill with binoculars, they had a full view of the warehouse.

In front of the two were two large rocks that would shield their figures that could, by the way, block the sunlight.

Sanlang built a signal device next to him to see if he could receive a satellite signal.

It would be good to have a radio to listen to.

As it turned out, the signal device could make a phone call, but the rest was not helpful.

Sanlang was a little frustrated.

If only he had known, he would have bought a more professional one.
