"HOW DARE YOU!!!
Sitting on the throne of Amon-Ra and you dare tell us to enjoy ourselves!!
Curse you, defiler!!
I, Anhur, shall challe-"
"Stop, Anhur… before you make a mistake that'll lead into utter chaos.
Think of your wife and children.
This isn't something worth dying over." Ptah tried to calm down the towering deity of war, only for his words to fall on deaf ears as Anhur couldn't continue to witness Esmond and Carter seated above them all.
In his eyes, Anhur struggled to continue watching a mortal and celestial spirit look down on him and the other Gods when they weren't one themselves.
Ignoring the pleas of a fellow God, and from one that was considered a creator deity, Anhur flew at Esmond with his spear formed from the bloodshed of warriors.
Unfortunately, as he neared his target, Anhur was struck by Carter across the jaw, catching the God of War before he flew away from the impact, only to be slammed into the middle of the arena.
"My brother has offered you food, wine, and a chance to awaken from your damn slumber… yet it still hasn't appeased those who believe themselves to be 'Gods'.
You are nothing more than creatures formed from the belief of your followers, instead of mortals who gained divinity through their actionsm from into legends before tales of a God." Carter continued to fling Anhur around the arena as he spoke.
It might have appeared like most of it was directed at Anhur, but the Gods in the Grand Pantheon Hall of the Palace, were fuming at Carter as they felt his voice purposely digging into their minds and spirit.
Unable to listen any further to Carter, a handful of Gods were about to interrupt Carter before he started speaking again, but they found their mouths tightly closed.
Divine Guardian Spirit Empyran wielded his Godly strength to control a few Gods from speaking, even when they tried to exert their Divine Energy, it failed to measure up against Empyran's power.
Carter continued, though this time his eyes scanned over the Gods seated in the Grand Pantheon Hall, "You all failed to save this land, and further on from its destruction, mainly due to your own vanity…
Not that we've brought life and prosperity to the land, do you think it'll return to your hands?
No.
That'll never happen.
You failed the lands before… so what's to say that you won't allow it to happen again?
After all you are Gods formed from belief, meaning you have no idea what it means to be mortal.
Therefore… let's make things interesting." With a deadly grin across his face, Carter turned to Empyran, who clicked his fingers to spawn countless Divine Thrones captured by the forces of the unnamed Divine Nation.
As the main item allowing the Gods to connect with their Divine Energy Source, the lost of their Divine Throne meant their existence wouldn't be able to sustain itself any further, and slowly, their lifeforce would deplete beside the leaking Divine Energy from their form.
All of the Gods looked on in horror as they noticed their thrones piling up in front of their eyes, including those of Horus, Isis, Osiris, Horus, and on.
Ptah wasn't saved either from the ordeal, though he was aware of the plan being initiated by Carter and Empyran as they came to informed him earlier.
.
"I'm going to remove every God and Goddesses power, only to turn them into mortals so they will understand the ply of an existence alongside 'their' creation.
None of them should retain their divine power as they failed to work as one to save the CounterWorld from its end.
Those 299 Gods and Goddesses who sacrificed themselves are the only ones I'll ever consider as true deities that served 'their' creation till the very end.
The mortals that exist now have no correlation to the Old Gods."
The brutalness of Carter's words cut deep into Ptah's heart, as he always believed the Gods supported the mortals, yet it was evident to him now that they never considered them more than toys to play with.
"How will you do it, Carter?
It won't be an easy task if you try to seek out each God and Goddess, one by one, as it'll alert the rest." Ptah knew better than to go against the stupidly powerful Carter and Esmond pair.
He'd seen what they could accomplish in a battle, and it obviously wasn't their true strength as they played around with the various monsters of the CounterWorld like they were simple ants.
The creator deity understood both of them were holding back a large portion of their complete strength when they first met and travelled across Ancient Egypt.
Since he'd shown them the city of Waset, Ptah was well looked after by the Divine Guardian Spirit, as he was provided plenty of resources to conduct any experiment or research to pass the time.
The creator deity ended up joining an academy built by Empyran to teach the next generation of citizens being spawned daily in the borders of the unnamed and declared Divine Nation.
So compared to the other Gods, he was rather prepared for any judgement Esmond and Carter inflicted on the Gods.
Even Horus had taken a job as advisor to the management officers responsible for the wellbeing of the masses.
"Empyran has control over the Divine Energy Source accruing through the Church of the Primordial Chaos.
Our Space Arks Higher and Lower Plane have gathered a great deal of people who trust in the teachings of the Church, therefore dramatically increasing the Divine Guardian Spirit's power.
Empyran will control the Divine Energy Source and the Divine Thrones of the Gods forge into a new seat that'll combine with Esmond's Divine Throne.
Gaining control over Ancient Egypt, we'll be able to take away everyone's power and turn them into mortals.
All I ask of you, Ptah, is that you lead the masses for a short time, helping them understand the new parameters of their life."
Ptah ended up agreeing with Carter, but when he witnessed the strength displayed by Empyran in the Grand Pantheon Hall of the Waset Palace, the creator deity had to wonder if his title was truly worthy to be bestowed upon him.
He watched Empyran mould the Divine Thrones into a new seat with nothing more than a click of his fingers before it flew towards the seated Esmond.
Not willing to move from his Throne, the moulded ones sent by Empyran started to recreate the new Divine Throne to control and oversee the entire landscape of Ancient Egypt.
As the changes were settling, Esmond noticed the increase in his perception across Ancient Egypt, as well as his strength to improve the lives of the Mortal's born into the CounterWorld.
.
"Huh…Still not a God, Esy…"
"Don't remind me." Esmond cursed, even when his power increased largely with his sealed strength also undone to display his elegance to the Gods and Goddesses that saw him as a nuisance.
"*Sigh* One God to lead the rest…
This won't end well, Ptah."
"Who knows Horus…
My mind is already telling me that we've finally come across a person that'll lead the Pantheon without harming the interests of the masses.
After all, we will be apart of the Mortals soon enough." Ptah's words caught Horus off guard as he knew nothing about the change into a Mortal form.
Before he could ask for more information, Horus began to sense the changes in his body, that Esmond reenforced through his sudden speech.
"As the Sole Divine being left to lead Ancient Egypt, my first act will be turning former Gods and Goddesses into Mortals.
You will learn what it takes to be a mortal.
To love knowing your significant other may die from disease, injury, or worse.
To hate without being able to smit your foes without the necessary strength and political power to keep you safe from the hands of justice.
To cry when you lose everything you've worked hard to obtain your entire life.
Go… and learn what it means to be a human.
Only then will I consider your reinstatement as a deity, under my Divine Power."
…
..
.
And thus began the massive sweep of change brought across Ancient Egypt, much to the astonishment of the mortals who couldn't believe their hot and dry homeland could sustain such elegance and beauty.
The flora across the hot smoky desert full of monstrous creatures were taken away by Igdra and Empyran to the Space Ark to strengthen the might of the Hidden World.
Mountains and large jungles filled the flat landscape of the vast Ancient Egypt as Igdra and Empyran rapidly grew their powers and control as the borders of the Divine Nation expanded.
Esmond heard the System notification that told him Ancient Egypt was now under his control, gifting him the ability to rename Ancient Egypt into anything that he pleased.
It would also help declare the Divine Nation in his honour, so after taking a moment to think of a reasonable name, Esmond went with Atlaestreous Egypt.
Esmond truly hoped this would help him become a God as various energy forms were coursing around Ancient Egypt.
This caused the land to shake as Esmond's pooling Divine Energy Source adjusted Ancient Egypt to now accept other cultures and religious deities pooled from the cultures of the Spatial Ark Star World.
Esmond's Divine Throne also took on a grander appearance suited for an emperor who'd captured the source of Ancient Egypt's Divine Energy.
"Hmm… so even now, I am not a God…
But I am close… eerily close." Esmond said to himself, though his words travelled across the entire Grand Pantheon Hall, which was still filled with Gods and Goddesses, but they had lost control over Divine Energy.
Made into mortals, all of them were terrified what would come of their lives but even more so, they couldn't believe the person who caused all of this was not even a God.
'It's time Esy…
Let the former Gods hear it.' Carter transmitted to Esmond as he'd left the Grand Pantheon Hall to look over the changes occurring to Atlaestreous Egypt.
