The Great Migration (1)

It was early morning when the convoy of wagons quietly left the city. Kai's luxury carriage was at the front, with Qiulong pulling it effortlessly. Behind her were ten [Spine-Beetles] pulling the supply wagons. At the rear were the ten rented carriages carrying the 150 people from the Lee family. Lastly, two black carriages with emblems of red roses were trailing the convoy. Kai had acknowledged their presence as part of Hou Zhou's retinues.

Kai introduced the new arrivals to his disciples once they were inside the carriage. After a few minutes of small talk, Ryu quietly stood up and headed toward the exit. Kai nodded when he saw this and sent Ryu a telepathic message using [Dragon's Whispers]. "I'm keeping watch of up to 1km ahead of us, so you can go scout the rear to make sure nobody is following."
