Chapter 75 : Lost

When was the last time I felt so strongly about something? It was as if something deep inside me had been triggered, and I was too weak to go against the impulse. 

As soon as the bus stopped, I ran out hastily, almost bumping into dozens of people. My muddled mind couldn't stop thinking about the worst possibility and my heart was beating wildly. 

This time, I didn't even want to think about why I behaved like this. The only thing I had in mind right now as I had to see him. I needed to talk to Alex. 

In retrospect, I even thought I was overreacting over a mere rejected call, and it's not like there was anything special between me and him. It's not like me at all.

Even if I had some doubt inside me, I didn't stop running. I squeezed the last rationality within me to remember the way towards Gardner's villa. I was so sure that I just had to go past the hill before I reached it.

My body was covered in sweat by the time I descended the hill.
