Different from other forests, the Borneo rainforest's vegetation was so dense that if you didn't chop down the plants, you couldn't get through, and your body would end up covered in cuts or bitten by poisonous insects hanging from the branches above.

The jungle terrain was complex, one could walk around a tree and find their companion had disappeared, so for safety, Bi Fang tied a rope around everyone and connected them, with easily detachable knots in case of danger.
