An entity tied to me - part 3

"Pack your things,dear...they'll be here in an hour..." she added and got out of my room, closing the door behind her with a loud bang, leaving me alone once more.

Alone in my darkness, pain, and sorrow...Alone with my thoughts and my fears...Alone with my insecurities, doubts, and scars... Alone...

I felt numb. Empty. Cold. My mother's words would not leave my head alone. 'Pack your things dear...they'll be here in an hour...' Truth is I felt too miserable to even ask to whom my mother was referring to. The clock was ticking, which meant that I was going to learn soon.

While nothing else could be done, I angrily threw a couple of things in my suitcase and when I was done I got out of my room, passed the long corridor and went downstairs to the living room only to find my father reading a newspaper.

"Quit staring at me, young lady! " he mumbled.

"Well, don't worry, this shall be the last time..." his posture stiffened at my words.

I could care less though. He had been hurting my feelings for quite some time now making my words seem like I just complimented him. What I had to think about at that time was where the fuck I was supposed to go and who the fuck was taking me away from my home.

"I'll wait outside..." I mumbled actually without waiting for anyone to reply. Besides, I actually did not want my parents to see me leaving like this. Not after what they did to me. They betrayed me and made me feel awful about myself. The least they could do was actually to let me leave in peace.

Without wasting any time, I grabbed my keys, unlocked the door and I left. No goodbyes, no hugs, no kisses, no tears. I just took my broken heart and went outside, waiting for some jerks to show up and take me to wherever they wanted. I glanced around me for a few minutes just to make sure those people had not arrived. People were walking here and there laughing and talking loudly, cheerfully while others kept whispering to themselves. As I kept seeing people I did not know, I decided to sit down on the frozen and slippery pavement and that's how I thought I would wait for the ones that were supposed to take me from here.

A sigh escaped my pale lips the moment I sat down. God, it sure was cold...

"I just wish they showed up right now..." I blurted and closed my eyes tightly. All those people wandering around made me feel dizzy.

"Excuse me... Are you alright?" Somebody asked. A couple of seconds passed and I felt a pair of hands on both of my shoulders. That's when I opened my eyes.

In front of me was standing a very young man wearing the most glamorous and sparkly clothes I've ever seen. Without replying, I focused on his other features. His black curls were brushed neatly in one place except for some naughty strands that were falling over his eyes, which he managed to cover with an expensive pair of black shades. His plump lips were now curved into a polite and gentle smirk, which a few seconds later turned into a huge smile that revealed his pearly teeth. This gentleman sure was handsome and he sure made me feel a bit calmer. Who could blame me, though? His gentle characteristics and polite smile actually did manage to relieve the stress I did not realize I had.

"Come on, let's go somewhere warmer than here!" he suggested as he extended one of his hands for me to take it.

I hesitated. Was I really going to let somebody that was a complete stranger to me take me somewhere else than here?

"I-I actually am waiting for someone...they were supposed to be here now..."

"Well, why to wait for them here and not somewhere warmer?" the man insisted.

He actually was right. Going to a warmer place was going to be much better. So without thinking twice, I took his in agreement and he helped me get on my feet. His beautiful smile never left his lips.

"Let's go, sweetie..."
