Getting Bewitched

Sinclair frowned at the matter. Even if Anastasia could distort sounds around them, it was still not something he should be discussing when outsiders were around. Wait, did he not count Ainsley as an outsider to the clan anymore?

At the reaction he got from Sinclair, Wallace knew that something was wrong with what he said in Sinclair's books. He didn't return the frown. "What's wrong, Sinclair? Did you not tell him anything more about the heart?"

"Not really. There are too many things happening all at once, and it wasn't even a month yet. The heart couldn't be melding with his body that fast." Sinclair made up a load of bull even if he knew that his father could see that the heart had melded perfectly already. Normally, it should take a while, but Ainsley's body had sped up the process because it was dying by then.

"You should pay more attention to it, then." At this answer, Wallace sighed inwardly. He knew his son so much that he figured that Sinclair still thought he could get away with his lies. His father could already see it, but he was still denying it? No matter. It only meant that Ainsley had no idea what was placed inside him; Sinclair decided not to tell him outright.

The others were only listening to them, Ainsley feeling strange at the sudden revelation. Then again, seeing that he had the capability to locate Roth, which was something Sinclair was able to do before; he figured the dragon heart was indeed behaving differently.

When he swept a look at Michelle, he saw that she was in her normal tip-top shape. She was donned in a pink cocktail dress, and her pink hair had golden extensions as if it had become two-toned. This woman really liked looking very differently, didn't she? It was not it was the cringy look; Ainsley actually thought she was cosplaying a magical girl instead.

Moreover, she didn't seem to be beaten up like what happened to her previously. He wondered if she could regenerate her body like Roth after eating multiple human bodies. Shudder. Ainsley couldn't help but shudder at the thought of Sinclair needing to do the same at one point.

"Oh, I didn't expect that there will be many people with you."

A familiar voice resounded, and Ainsley and Sinclair didn't question the presence of the woman here. In fact, they would be surprised if Alice wouldn't be here. However, they didn't expect to see her in such a dazzling look.

She was wearing her styled blonde wig and a green sparkling dress. The plunging neckline reached her abdomen, and it also seemed backless. However, it had a sheer covering so the opening and the back wouldn't move around. The thigh-high slit also gave a peek of her shapely legs. Her beautiful face looked youthful from the makeup on it.

Alice Campbell seemed to be a very different person, and Sinclair found out how she kept on getting rich, married men as her clients. She looked so classy despite the generous skin, which they liked from their female companions.

Actually, even Wallace stared at her that way. The only difference was that he was looking into literally devouring the flesh. Then again, the strange scent hit the noses of the other members of the dragon clan. Still, it didn't turn off the father.

"Ms. Campbell, you've arrived." Stuart knew that Roth was merely waiting for her earlier when they met here. It wasn't their fault that Wallace spotted them and decided to speak with them despite the arrangements Stuart had in place.

"Hello. Mr. Stein." Alice smiled before looking at Roth as if asking for his opinion. Should she leave, or could she stay with them? After all, she might attract unnecessary attention from the two ladies that—if they all could agree—were not as phenomenal as she was.

"Oh, this is her?" As if not caring what it sounded like to them, Anastasia hummed. Of course, she had her own servants that crept around. She did hear about Roth finally claiming a pet of his own after all these years, but she didn't expect the woman to be like this. After all, Alice Campbell never appeared to any of those men in her work attire.

She then curled her lips with her best judgmental auntie smile. "I'm Anastasia King, Sinclair and Roth's mother. Don't bother about trivial matters. I'm thrilled to meet such a special person."

"It's nice to meet Roth and Mr. Sinclair's mother." Alice didn't bother with the vicious tone and answered very cordially. After all, she was used to this. She didn't want to openly attract these, but it didn't mean she would back down. "You're just as beautiful as they say so."

"Oh, my…" For some reason, Anastasia twitched. These two compliment her outside her earshot? Really? Was Alice being courteous, or was she telling the truth?

Roth then cleared his throat and walked to get Alice away from them… or use Alice as an excuse to get away from them. "Let's go find a good place to sit. The Grand Draw will start in a few minutes."

With a nod, Alice willingly helped out. "I booked the VIP Lounge 4 for us. I just didn't realize you have more people with you. Should I get another place?"

"Don't worry about it, Ms. Campbell." Stuart intervened with their conversation. After all, he was in charge of trivial things like this. "The VIP Lounge 4 is an excellent place."

Unlike Alice who needed to do the legwork, Stuart could manage almost everything on his phone. He found out about the arrangements Alice made and only reinforced them to prevent any mishaps. He then received a 'thanks' from Alice.

In the meantime, Sinclair didn't bother about not walking in front. He stayed at the back with Ainsley who was looking around discreetly.

The gambling floor had all kinds of machines and tables, and a cacophony of sounds mixed in the air. However, instead of obnoxious noises, they all formed music that would invigorate greed and lust within him. The blend of subtle and bright lights also helped in blinding Ainsley from the risks. At this very moment, he just wanted to jump at a machine and start playing.

"Be careful in staring around. You're getting bewitched." Sinclair only chuckled.
