Let Me Go

Roth only had one thought in mind. If he failed to protect such a very important and powerful item, then he would rather destroy it himself than let the enemy have it. He knew that someone who harmed Ainsley had suffered greatly due to the counterattack of the dragon heart, but what else could he do? If it attacked him, then at least it was still active, right?

At least, it could be awakened to do something to prevent Gavyn from containing its power.

"Foolish child." Roth had already bitten on the flesh already when a strange voice of an old person flitted into his ears. Before he knew it, a bright-green mist exploded from the dragon heart. Bang! His body was propelled to the shrinking barrier… and even broke through it.

Roth felt like his entire body was crushed, and his own dragon heart had fallen asleep. He flew past Gavyn who was also blasted away by the explosion. However, a strong, firm body caught his flying figure and held onto him, so he wouldn't bounce back to the floor.
