"We're returning to the island… when?" Carina lifted her brows. She needed to return nonetheless, but she was wary of letting the elders see Ainsley again. After all, his existence was a reminder of Sinclair's weakness to them. However, right now, that kind of hostility might be revoked.
"…weekend." Sinclair took a deep breath and held onto his forehead. When was the last time he had a peaceful day? Ever since the cannibals began their assault, he felt like he had never slept in, aside from that day yesterday. He couldn't even fully enjoy that new privilege he had on Ainsley.
Carina nodded and turned to Stuart, who was jotting down notes. Since she was done with her report, it was up to Sinclair what to do about it. Right now, she should work on how to make sure things would proceed safely for them. After all, a primal dragon was nothing they had encountered.
