When they saw the police move in, Ainsley and Carina knew that it was already over. It was time to come back to the hotel. Like they were strangers, they packed up at different speeds: Ainsley decided to leisurely sip his drink to the bottom, while Carina closed her laptop and placed it inside her bag as if someone was waiting for her.

Even if they walked out separately from the cafe, they still met at the crossing. From there, they were already walking together to the hotel. The walk was quiet even if they were acquainted with each other. After all, Ainsley knew that this New Moon Magnolia didn't like him.
