The Option of Losing doesn't Exist

Footsteps echoed all over the endless cavity, their own voices resounding as if haunting whispers of the entities that plagued the place. Since they didn't need any light, the two men were only walking as if they were on their way home instead. They were even chatting about trivial matters since they had not seen each other for a while.

Not that they were too casual, but they knew very well that the entities in the cave could sense fear and nervousness. Sinclair had to make Roth think of nothing about the trial of the island. After all, this little brother of his was quick to tremble at the sound of the consequences.

Both of them were well aware that not only Sinclair's life was on the line. If Sinclair failed the island, his soul would be harvested as well, never to be reborn again. Moreover, if he died inside the cave, no one would know for a long time… and the dragon island would be vulnerable.
