Chapter 39: Tale Park World

The age gap didn't help Alicia to get any support she needed from the classroom she attended. Often, she was ostracized in the class, especially with group projects. And some professors seem too uninterested and appalled with her presence as well.

Although, there are still some noble professors who stood for her and patiently guided her through.

She didn't want to quit at anything she was doing for her son once again, so it became harder and harder each day.

She would still cry at the deaths of her loved ones at night and she would struggle with her academic responsibilities while sustaining herself with the job she retained. But this cycle made her slowly sink into despair.

Soon, she was getting sick with all the stress until it got too much. She filed a leave of absence for a semester and it was sometime then that she was led to the devil's world.

And then, she met the conscientious high school boy Haru and the beautiful French lady Camille. The uncooperative old man Mr. Wang and the shy little boy Ali. Hopping into one world to another while seeing through traumas and histories—it was truly an otherworldly experience and a mysterious circumstance.

But there, she gradually found peace and acceptance.

The night parade has completed its delivery and Haru was able to collect the five jewels.

Camille was able to immediately put everything in the circular stone. The diamond in the middle glowed and shone brilliantly, revealing the portal to the next world.

And as they have predicted, the seven-day activation started its countdown again, thus all that's left for them to do was to wait.

"Y'all should enjoy the world for the meantime," Alicia encouraged them. "I'm really sorry for everything. You weren't able to enjoy the amenities and rides because you guys were too conscious of me, were you?"

"T-Then, Alicia," Camille hesitantly said. "Will you… will you come with us to the next world?"

Alicia looked down, "Hmm, I might want to stay here for a while. I don't know, maybe a month or a year more? This lets me feel like I'm constantly waiting for a rendezvous with Eugene. So, I'd like to take my time here."

Camille was clearly saddened, as if rejected, "A-Alright, if this makes you happy. It's a shame, because it felt like you were my big sister on this journey, so I was hoping you'd stick with us through."

"I hope you thoroughly enjoy yourself here," Haru smiled. "I'm sure Eugene will be glad with how you're starting to accept things and going on with your life."

"Thank you so much, Camille and Haru. You were also like a younger sister to me, Camille. And I'm sure Eugene would've loved to meet you, Haru."
