Chapter 72: Replica Life

When Haru opened his eyes, the ceiling that used to be reachable and black from that witch's room became a while galaxy that exploded with beauty in Haru's eyes.

For someone who lost his memories and has only seen the ceiling of a dingy orphanage, a dead son's room, and a blue, tasteless sky, the colors above him were groundbreaking.

"H-Haru! HARU!" He heard a girl's voice yelling towards him.

When he sat up, he saw a young lady with a worry-stricken face, an expressionless old man, and a crying little boy.

He looked at them back and forth and asked, "Who are you?"

Their faces turned into a surprise as they glanced at each other with confusion. Haru looked away as he slowly stood up, "If you're here as well, then you guys might be the subjects of the Devil, right? Since we're in the Devil's fourth world."

He could still remember his conversation with the witch and how she probably brought him here in the Grand Blisscade.

He felt something looming over his heart, soul, and veins; a menacing spirit of the Devil.

He's somehow figuring things out after the wish he made.

"…Subjects of the Devil? What…?" The young lady looked extremely confused.

Haru thought she must be the kind of lady who wears her heart on her sleeve. He turned around. "Where's the other one? I thought we're supposed to be five?"

It was only at that point that it sunk to the others that Haru had lost his memories.

Haru felt like something was stabbing in his chest and it felt a bit uncomfortable, so he let out a sigh and told them, "The next world… is the last one."

"What?" The old man asked. "Is that true?"

"Yeah, you can return to the original world after the next one. Though, you must already know that the original one is ending soon."

The young lady still looked so disappointed, as if feeling indignant about him. Haru neared her and asked, "Can you… please lead me to the world's features? My memories might return from those."

Her face lit up brightly and she immediately nodded.

The young boy also began clinging onto him tightly as they went around the Grand Blisscade. The one who was left in that same spot was the old man, pondering about what he should do.

He trudged towards the previous portal and went through with it.

He walked and walked past the Glowglass Woodland until he reached the Tale Park World. At the tent of Alicia, he came in and told about Haru's lost memories and the way out to the original world.

"All the jewels in the Grand Blisscade has already been found and intact in the stone portal," Mr. Wang explained. "We're just waiting for the seven days to pass by and the next world leads to the original world."

"That was accomplished while Haru was missing? And now that he's returned, he lost all his memories?"

"That's right."
