A handy trick

"I'm hungry," I turn to Mar who was working on his system.

"Go and take food from the kitchen. Why are you telling me when you can get it by yourself?" He glared at me, before he focused on his system, once more.

"Please, Mar. I can't get up from the cushion. My stomach is already heavy. Please get the food for me."

"If you can't rise to take the food, then don't bother about eating." He frowned once more.

"That was why I loved being at Kel's house. With Kel, I don't need to beg this much before he gets the food for me. Oh, Kel!—"

" What do you want to eat?" Mar placed his laptop on the table and turned to face me. "Tell me what you want, and I will get them for you," he said with a determined look on his face.

His words made me smile.

"I want fries, a steak, ketchup, ice cream, popcorn and orange juice," I list these off with a goofy smile on my face "I'm having a craving for some sweets."

Just thinking of those made me happy.
