Labour pains

"Don't go," he tightly held on to me.

"I'm not going anywhere," I sighed in resignation. "You don't have to tightly hold on to me. I'm not going anywhere."

At least not with that tight grip on me.

He sighed and resumed sleeping.

So, poor me had to sit on the bed and watch him.

My phone rang at the moment and I had to glance at Osy to make sure the loud ringing of the phone didn't wake him up.

He didn't even stir a bit. I guess he was deep in Dreamland to be disturbed by the ringing of the phone.

"What is it?" I lowly spoke into the receiver, so as not to wake Osy up.

"Postar is out of Kakida."

"What do you mean?" I made to stand, but Osy tightly held to me, so I say back on the bed.

"She left Merima for Earth."

"And you allowed her to do so?"

This isn't good at all. Total bad news. This isn't looking good.
