Persecuted for a crime he didn't commit

"What do you mean?" Cyp frowned at Starry. She narrowed her eyes at her.

"My father was Innocent. He was just at the Right place at the wrong time. Everything that happened was orchestrated by the so-called queen. The Royal family believed my Father was the one who almost killed you, and poisoned your head servant. But that's not the truth.

My father was merely trying to help you out.

But his kind gesture was mistaken for treason. His help was the death of him. If only he knew how it will turn out. He wouldn't have helped at all."

"But—"

"There are no buts, Cyp. Your father believed the words of the new wife more than that of a friend who had been through thick and thin with him.

We suffered for a crime we didn't commit, and the main culprit still lives in the palace. She still has the post she doesn't deserve, all at the expense of my father's head."

"What are you talking about? That's not true!"

Cyp shouted in denial.
