Mason POV
I just stared at Caleb pondering on what to do about him. 'Should I come out clean or sweet talk my way out' I thought silently studying his sangfroid. What to do I wondered not knowing I was gawking at Caleb.
"Mason–" he said in a shaking tone.
"Te...ll me its a lie_its all a lie right" he sobbed.
"Pathetic" Lola spat angrily.
"He used you or are you that daft" "utterly pathetic " she said angrily.
Caleb moved backward shake his head slowly trying to calm himself.
"It is what it is" I told him grinning which only made him more pissed.
"I need to breath" he said turning to leave. My instincts kicked. I grabbed him by the hand pull him into my arm. Whispering into his ear "We would have worked out you know. " I said blankly not really asking a question.
"And you can't leave..." I added
"I am leaving now and that final " he argued.
"Says the brat that can't fight" I spat sarcastically. Immediately I grabbed him and pulled him to my basement.
"Let go of me! Let go of me you son of a b**ch" immediately I slap him after hearing the "last " word. Speaking ill of my deceased mother is what I wouldn't accept. No that won't happen, he can insult me but not her. I threw him into the room locked the door and pocketed the key. He yelled for help which I cared less about since it was a basement and I had no neighbors.
