PLAY TOY

So this is what it feels like to feel fear. He smiled coldly.

"Grand master Ares, the child has starved to death." Griffin reported.

"Good, now, do you see this image on the screen? Supposedly this is a goddess named Crysanthe. I would like to lure her here, she seems quite weak, we might be able to train her to be strong, perhaps we would be able to convince her to stay. I know this is a bet, but I'm willing to take the risk." He told Griffin.

"It's not like you to be this dicey, are you sure about this?"

"You think you can question me and get away with it? We can starve you to death, or perhaps, torture you to death." Ares threatened.

Griffin's response was to slowly back away, his knees trembling in fear. Unfortunately for him, he backed straight into Enyo, Gideon's older sister, who loved death and terror even more that Gideon. Now that he had enraged Enyo, he found himself dangling by the neck, Enyo's hand wrapped around it.

"Enyo, perhaps let him be, we don't want our servants to run away." Ares suggested, using his favorite word, perhaps.

"They can't. Not without dying." Enyo denied his suggestion.

"But they could commit suicide. And then who would be our servant? Well perhaps our little sister Clemence could, she is quite useless, too gentle. But like, that's not the best option." Ares argued.

"Listen to me, our servants are cowards, how do you think they got here? They won't commit suicide. Plus, I could always kill you." Enyo mentioned.

Her head cocked to the side, and her sly grin made her look terrifying. It made his legs shake with fear, even though he knew it was just his older sister. But Ares knew her personality, she would kill and slaughter just to move up one rank, even he wouldn't do that.

"Anyways, back to the matter at hand. My play toy, Crysanthe should be captured soon. I'll get bored without a nice play toy to toy with. Perhaps we could also kill a few gods and goddesses while we're at it." Ares got them back on track.

"That sounds like a wonderful and purely delightful plan." Enyo commented.
