"I did"
"No one came!" Telmé snarled. "Did you bother to ascertain that the orders had been carried out? Did you notice I never returned and no Priests came to tell you that the ashes of your dead men had arrived? Did anyone here notice or care? Or are you all still so busy wallowing in your pain and resentment that you think it's acceptable to neglect everyone and everything around you?"
The hall thundered with angry, guilty silence.
Telmé kept his eyes on Esbjörn as he stormed across the great hall toward him. Stopping short only a couple of paces he said, "Answer me, Captain."
Esbjörn bristled and shot to his feet. "I do not answer to a fucking child who thinks because he has a king for a father and drinks blood that he is fit for a role that never should have been promised to him. I did what I was supposed to do; I certainly didn't need orders from you to do it."
