Evan put all details out on the table in one breath. He didn't want Tabby to overreact or get angry, he really didn't want a repeat of a broken spine or worse. Telling her all the information as upfront and honest as he can has always worked out for him with her. She might get a little upset, but she is more willing to talk to him when he goes about it in a gentle manor.

"Will you be gone for a long time?" Tabby had tears in her electric blue eyes dropping around her chubby child cheeks.

"That depends on what you think is a long time. I don't think it will be a long time maybe a month." Evan had explained to her how time works on the surface, and she caught on very quickly like she did with most things.

"Well, if your gone can I stay in your house? It's so much warmer and softer in the house than my den." Tabby asked with a sly smile.
