Elvin's Mysterious Reminder

"Your Highness Herbert!" I called after him and hastily said, "I'm injured. Can you call a car for me?"

Humans are prohibited from using electronics from the outside world in the symbiot. That's why I can't get a car here. But as a vampire aristocrat, Herbert should be able to find a way, right?

Although I didn't want to trouble others, it would be too difficult for me to walk home with my injuries.

Herbert, however, didn't act as if he hadn't heard me. He put away his weapon and, with a cold face, leaped into the air and abruptly left from another intersection, leaving me standing alone.

As expected, Herbert was nothing more than an emotionless machine to defend the treaty. He would purge the "wild ghosts" who violated the prohibition and fed on human blood, but he never really thought of helping me.

I couldn't help but slap my head and berate myself for my stupidity for harboring such hopes for vampires.
