"How did you just do that?"....She asked.
Cameron panicked. he couldn't think of anything else to do. He supersped from her presence, leaving her even further in shock and speechless.
He ran to Esteban in the science lab. He paused, a bit terrified at the sight of Esteban hugging the Chicken.
"Esteban, what are you doing?"....
he asked, startling Esteban who quickly dropped the Chicken on the table.
"uhhhh...Nothing".....he chuckled anxiously.
"Esteban, there is a big problem"...
He rushed his words.
"what do you mean?"....He replied.
"we gotta get home "....
"why?".....
"let's just go ".....
Esteban sighed and finally concurred.
They rushed home, School barely over.
They went into thier room and Cameron shut the door, looking out first to see if anyone saw them.
"why are you behaving like you stole someone's lunch and the police is after you, Jeez what's all this secretness?"...Esteban teased him.
"Merlyn saw me use my powers"....
Cameron panicked.
His brother laughed.
"Am sorry, it sounded like you said Merlyn saw you use your powers"....
"Esteban, I'm not kidding"....
"wait, WHAT!".....Esteban yelled.
"The screw driver was about to fall on her foot and I panicked and__"...
"Whoa whoa whoa Cameron, slow down. so quick question. HOW COULD YOU LET THAT HAPPEN?"....
"l don't know it just__"...
The sound of the doorbell interrupted him.
"who could that be?".....his voice shaked.
"What if it's mum?"....Esteban whispered.
"ohhh, I hope she doesn't find out"...
Cameron whined.
" I'll go get the door"...he rushed his words and left the room.
Esteban waited for his return for quite a while. The sound of a high pitched scream scared him. he rushed out of the room to the living room just to see Cameron walking to and fro. his face dripping with sweat that drenched his hair.
"Why do you look like a goat went to the river to drink water and forgot that the water goes into him not him into the water".....he teased him.
Cameron lowered his voice.
"It's Merlyn "...
"uh oh"...Esteban started to panic.
"What do we do now?"....He asked.
Aida thier computer home AI system interrupted.
"Reprogramming and reboot"....
she said in her robotic voice.
"Ahhhhh"....
"Ahhhhh".....The two boys screamed in fear at the sudden robotic interruption.
"That computer is still here?"....Cameron asked.
The door bell rang again, startling the two boys.
"would you like me to open the door?"...Aida asked.
"No!".....
"No!"...They shouted at the same time.
"Okay, unlocking door".....she replied.
"No....no....no...no "...
The door unlocked and opened.
Merlyn stood outside, face to face with Cameron that stood frozen in front of her.
"Can I come in?"....she asked.
"yeah sure".....his mouth blurted out. he immediately regretted his words afterwards.
she walked in. Esteban standing at the dining table.
"Hey Esteban ".....she smiled anxiously.
"Hey merlyn".....he replied.
"So, Cameron you wanna talk about what happened earlier?"....she started.
"what happened ?"...he chuckled nervously.
"You controlled a screw driver with your mind"...
"oh that?"...He pretended not to understand what she was saying.
Esteban interrupted.
"Merlyn it's not what you think. it was just__".....
"Dont say magic trick cause I dont believe you"...she Interrupted him.
"Cameron do you have what I think you Have?".....she turned back to him.
"What are you thinking?"...he stuttered.
"Tell me you dont have superpowers."...
"well I.....I um...Well....Yeah I have superpowers."...he concurred.
"What!!:..., Esteban yelled.
"Cameron, you had powers and didn't even tell your twin brother".....
he pretended to be shocked.
"oh drop the act Esteban. I know you have powers too."....she scoffed.
"What?".....his voice went two octaves higher.
"You both have superpowers,".....
she continued.
"Merlyn you can't tell anyone please"...Cameron begged her.
"I won't on one condition."...
"what is it?".....
"What is it?"...the two boys echoed.
"Tell me truly that you both have superpowers"...she asked.
"it is believable that I Cameron, most handsome boy in the world have superpowers, I mean look at how strong I am"....he flexed his skinny arms trying to wooo Merlyn who just rolled her eyes at him and turned to Esteban.
"Esteban, I've never seen you touch a book in your life but yet you're the smartest thing in the world ".....
"Thanks for the compliment"...
he became full of himself. Enjoying her compliment with a weird smile on his face.
" I mean what is your IQ....like 300 or something?"...
"It's actually 300000".....he bragged a little.
"WHAT!!".....she screamed.
"yep".....
"okay okay okay okay, enough of how cool Esteban is. now is my turn"...Cameron interrupted.
"Guys I wanna show you something too. don't yell or be too shocked".....she changed the topic.
Esteban walked up to Cameron.
"Are you sure we should trust her, I mean she's the world's youngest teen national Journalist, it's kinda her job to spill beans"....he whispered.
"I heard you Esteban and don't worry I won't tell your secret and in fact, to be even, here is something I wanna show you"...she interrupted thier whispering. they stopped to look at her.
Her hair started to turn snow white and so did her pupils and iris. her clothes changed into a spandex superhero suit with a snow flake in the middle of her chest. the blue spandex suit had a white waist belt and white boots reaching her knees and white gloves. The room became so cold and Esteban and Cameron glanced round to see that thier room was frozen Solid ice.
"You're frostbite "...
"You're frostbite?"...They echoed at the same time.
"yep. I'm frostbite"...
"who's frosbite?".....Esteban asked confused.
"yeah, i dont know who that is"....
Cameron mumbled with him.
Merlyn slapped her forehead with her palms in frustration.
"I'm an undercover member of the Junior hero force"...she continued.
"whoa".....
"whoa"..... they echoed together.
"okay stop acting shocked if you don't even know what that is?".....she shunned them.
"yeah ,I don't know what that is?"...Cameron chuckled.
"me neither ".....Esteban joined him.
