"Are you kidding me?" Maya exploded, disbelief etched across her face. "Really? A ghost? How the hell did you manage to get yourself into this mess, and that too within a day of me leaving you alone? Didn't you learn anything from the last incident? Also what happened to your promise to stay out of trouble?"

Maya couldn't comprehend how could someone be this wretched. She had been living in Lucus Town much longer than Myne, yet hadn't encountered even a normal wandering spirit. Meanwhile, her womanizer brother, a magnet for trouble, had somehow made contact with a vengeful, intelligent, and magic-wielding spirit. That simply didn't make any sense.
