Chapter 10
Erica raised her head, and she sees her husband by the door. She jumps off the bed and faces her husband with a smile on her face. " Honey, you're back!" Lloyd is looking at her hand that is holding a book. When she noticed that he's looking at her hand she smiled at him and said. "I'm reviewing, I will have an exam next week and I want to do well in my studies," she said with a smile on her face.
Lloyd's expression becomes more confused, He knew everything about Erica that she is good at everything. She is not an ordinary student, now he was wondering why she needs to study hard? He walks in her direction and looks at the book that she was studying. Those are English books and he looks at the other books that are on the bed. They are all English books from junior high school to the present.
Lloyd shows a smile on his face. "You're already in the second year of college why are you reading junior high school books." She looks at him with a smile on her face and said. " Because I'm going to study hard and I need to start all over again." But when she sees the weird look on Lloyd's face. She pulls back the book from his hand and gives him a snob look. Lloyd was quiet for a while.
"I learn very fast." She said to him and look at him. She sees the look on his face that he doesn't believe what she was saying. "I only read it once and listen to this once and I remember everything, and made note of some of it too." Showing him what she's doing, while blinking her eyes at him, so he will believe her that she can memories everything fast.
Lloyd looks at the book, and she started to say a few words on the book. She looks at him with pride. He was reading the book and saw the few words that have to underline on it. She put Chinese characters in the English sentence. Lloyd's lips quirked up even more.
Lloyd looks at her, and she was proud of herself.
"Do you want me to get a tutor for you?" He asked her. "Oh no, you don't need to do that." without even looking at him she rejected his offer. Lloyd is a busy person managing so much, like the company and the Yang family. She would let him be so tired if he was home.
"Okay!" Lloyd said. "Honey, I want to go back to my dormitory." She suddenly said. "Hmm?" Lloyd looked at her. "Isn't staying at home well enough?" He added. "Honey that's not it. It's just want to make more time for studying. My exams are soon to come. And I want good grades." She looks at Lloyd with a pitying look, and she notices his expression.
As he saw Erica's expression his expression got softened, listening to her explanation. He looks deeply at her, then he nodded his head. He didn't look good when he went to his study room. She watched him walk away from the dining table. She knows why he acts like that, he was worried about her. And worried about the things she might do.
After all, she hurt him so much in the past, which made him like this and he can't trust her anymore. Thinking about this make her lost her appetite. She made warm milk and had a maid bring it to the study room before she goes back to her room and continued studying.
The maid knocks twice at the study room door before someone answers. "Come in." The maid comes into the room and she stuttered, "Master, Madam made some warm milk for you?" The maid was scared "She made it herself?" He asks the maid, and the maid nodded her head. It made the maid shake her knees, and she wanted to run out of the room. After all, everyone knows that their master doesn't drink warm milk and he only drinks coffee. And they didn't see their master drink anything else.
The maid doesn't know if their master will like it or not; what if he got mad at her and throw everything at her because he hated what madam give to him. The fear is all over the face of the maid. "Put it down here," Lloyd speaks again and the maid relaxed as she put the glass down on the table and she leaves the room.
"Boom!!" then a strike of lighting draw in the sky. Erica was lying in her bed when the thunder strike, she was startled and hurry to get up on the bed. Then another lightning strikes the dark sky, which makes her pale as paper, she was truly scared.
She blood, so much blood! She sees Lloyd's dead body. She can't believe her eyes, seeing her husband's body cover with lots of blood. She screams in her fear, she closes her eyes. she doesn't like to see him like that. She screams one more time.
And a loud explosion suddenly went off in the sky, and then she screams again, Lloyd was in his pajama when he heard her scream. He rushes to her room, and he knock on the door, but no one answered, so he open the door he sees Erica, on her side of the bed covering her ears. "Go away... Don't you dare touch me.." She said repeatedly
What is happening! Lloyd was scared he doesn't know what was happening to her. He hurried and hold her tight. "Erica it's me, it's me.. It's Lloyd, don't be afraid I'm here now."He was comforting her. '
He called him again and again, she was shaking. And then it stops no noise coming from Erica and even shaking. When he looked at her, she fainted, and her eyes were shut tightly. Then he sounded "Get the doctor her now!" Lloyd's voice covers the whole house, everyone downstairs was shocked and run to the second floor of the house, when they see their master holding their Madam.
"Master, the Madam's emotions were high up because she suffered a great shock. I suggest that the master get to know more about what happened to Madam. Maybe she meets a horrible past before you got married or might she have been kidnap before. All those things can trigger her condition." The doctor said to him while giving him the medication.
Lloyd's expression was still dark as he nodded his head to what the doctor says. Lloyd looks at the woman in the bed who was sleeping, his expression never changes. What more that he doesn't know about Erica, he knows everything about her.
