Experiencing

This is a tale

A poem in the Winter

It's not about much

Just a holiday Garage Sale

The home we focus on

belongs to the Empats

Where they sell hats

And chess sets with pawns

In their house was a child named Dawn

Who went searching for things to put on their front lawn

She searched and searched,

Until she found a doll, on her bed it was perched

Dawn didn't remember having this toy

a small lederhosen boy

Oddly enough, it turned towards her

and began to speak in english words

"Hello child," The doll spoke with its mouth closed

"I should ask you who you are, I suppose."

"Who are you!?" Dawn pointed in opposition

This makes the doll slightly move its position

"I am Apal" The doll adjusts itself

"And you must take me to a place

If I do not go

you will lose your face."

"Apal, I cannot just leave!" Dawn exclaimed.

"I need to help my family with a garage sale!"

Apal looked into Dawn's eyes "And what if about your parent who is male?

"Doth he even headed to Yale?"

"I'm afraid so." Dawn answered.

"I should as him, if I can, sir."

Apal jerked. "Asking is for pussies."

"Now let we should make haste with ease."

Dawn shrugged and picked Apal up

Before leaving, she picked up a cup

and left, deciding she made up her mind already

She walked off as she knew she was ready

As Dawn moved through the cold snow

with Apal in hand

Apal directed her to "a show"

Which turned into demands

"Just in time!" Apal's eyes sparkled like a jewel

"We're finally here! I almost lost my cool."

"Sure you did." Dawn rolled her eyes with a shiver.

"Now, where is that show you promised to deliver?"

"It might look like a hole in the ground.

"but step inside, and you'll see it's profound!"

After Apal had said that, Dawn looked inside the hole.

and remembered a time about her friend named Cole.

Cole fell in a hole, in 2012

And after that, her life was hell

Dawn was now hesitant to go inside

She was thinking that Apal had surely lied

"I don't trust you!" Dawn turned away.

"That hole is not where I want to decay!"

"You won't die, you absolute clown!"

Apal nodded quickly. "Now go down, down DOWN!"

Again, Dawn fell to peer pressure.

and then fell into the hole

Once she reached, the bottom, she knew for sure

She didn't really feel whole

When dawn makes it to the bottom

She looks around and asks "W-what's happenin'?"

Then, she saw a man with a hat made out of tin.

Then the man grabbed Apal to express his qualm.

"You're Late!" the man shook Apal.

"And you brought a child in our halls?!"

"RELAX!" Shouted the doll.

"This kid will help us... after they recover from the fall."

"The fuck is this!?" Dawn looks in confusion.

The man drops Apal and chats

"This place is Retribution!

and you aren't supposed to be here, you pile of fat."

"Don't be rude!" Apal squealed like mice.

"She could help us get a sacrifice!"

"She's A CHILD!" The man looks down.

"She has no use being keeping her, Clown!"

Dawn stared at the two in shock. "SACRIFICE?!

"WHAT THE HELL?"

"Don't worry." Apal started to justify his vices.

"I'm sure you'll do well."

"She's normal, nimrod."

The man began to prod.

"Sacrifices are strange."

"Too late now!" Apal says in a way that's deranged.

The man rolls his eyes and kneels

then he orders Dawn to lure an adult

into the hole, to make a "seal"

And with that, she's given Apal and starts to bolt

She ran threw the pit

then couldn't remember shit

because before she knew it

she was on the sidewalk with a sit

With more confusion

she finds something odd

Apal's on her hand, in some type of fusion

with a note on him, saying "From Todd"

"I hate this, I hate you"

Dawn spewed

"Do I really have to do this?"

Apal nodded, while still attached to her fist

"Please make this quick." Apal commentated.

"If you don't make haste, Todd will become very jaded"

"GET OFF OF ME!" Dawn struggles to remove him.

"I'm not going to commit such a SIN!"

Apal remains on her hand

appearing more like a puppet

and the goal, Dawn had to understand

before her neighbor approached her from across the street

"Dawn?" The neighbor tilted their head.

"What are you doing out so late?"

"I- umm..." Dawn Said.

"I have to go home and... renegotiate."

"You suck at rhyming." Apal wiggled around her arm.

"The real question is, what are YOU doing out here?!"

"Are you talking through a puppet?" The neighbor kelt down to show she won't do harm.

"If you have any problems with your father, I'm all here."

"No!" Dawn tried to find a way to take control of the chat.

"I just wanted to see if I could go to a party and all that."

"You're a bit too young to party around.

"But maybe if could find one more child friendly in the nearby town."

"I know a better place!"

Dawn exclaims, lighting up Apal's face.

"But you need to come with me.

"I don't want to go alone, you see."

The Neighbor asks. "Where is the hangout?"

Then, Dawn leads her toward the hole from before

And when the neighbor leaned in the see what it's all about

Dawn pushed her in, while Apal called her a whore

"Now get back down there!" Apal looked at Dawn with a stare.

"We can go over the detail once you go downstairs."

Before Dawn could point out the lack of stairs

She fell right down, and it didn't seem fair

While we both know she survived

But what happened next, will be a mystery till we die

Speak of which, we can assume

that neighbor isn't getting out anytime soon
