Now what?

After Toph and her mom ran away. I've been thinking about plans. Originally I wanted Toph's help for the Dai lee and metal bending. I didn't have confidence in metal bending by myself so I had hoped I could help her develop it and achieve it myself. Now however she was gone and Lao Beifong has been crying about his precious daughter. I mean dude his wife his gone as well?

Thankfully though this gave me all the time I needed to mess with people's status. Checking Each of the girls status each of them had max stats. Excluding Azula's psyche which was about 60 at the moment and Mai's attitude which could shift with her mood.

"Come on please! I'm so bored!"

I sighed, June had finally reached a temporary rock bottom. She had been begging to do anything. Not to mention she felt clammy and cold. I stared at her while staying upside down. Lime and Nyla became friends despite June being captured by us.

Which was great, because it let me search through June's stuff. Finding a metal pipe and a baggy of some kind of leaves. Originally I thought it was pot, but turned out Mai knew what it was. It was a pain killer Mai coated her crossbow bolts with it. Apparently Mai had a few things to coat her bolts with which was a surprise to learn. It made sense, but still.

"Please! Come on, I'm sorry! I just thought it would be more lucrative!"

I was tempted to gag her. I sighed, speaking of being shuten up. Everyone was against my ideas for new weapons. Azula said they gave to much power to non-benders. Which was kind of the point, Mai at least asked questions about it before rejecting my wonderful mother of invention. Though she still rejected it after I started explaining the possibilities. Not even a simple flintlock was accepted!

I sighed, the only thing that was agreed on was gun powder for the ability to launch things. Mai mentioned a net gun or something. It was so rigged! I guess I would settle for the magical powers of bending...

Hm, hm. Mother fucker, sometimes I swear I have brain damage or something. Seriously, fire benders, powder that literally goes boom. They were actually looking out for the fucking environment. That would also explain the rejection of some of my suggestions with Coal. I guess living on several island volcanoes would give them a better sense of inhalation illness and diseases.

Wait shit, what was the fucking rate of lung cancer in the fire nation? I lifted off the couch, that was something to thin about. Was cancer a major illness in this universe? if I was from a different universe would I get cancer? no wait, this body was born in this world. Wait, CAN I CAUSE CANCER!

I steadied myself, could an earth bender bend uranium? Was there uranium? "I'll talk to you later June, i'll be back."

"Wait, at least give me something to do!"

"Count the threads in the rug, that might be fun for you."

"You bit-" I closed the door behind me and left.

"Hey Ty Lee!"

Looking for Ty lee in various areas I eventually fund her doing yoga poses. I admired her ass before walking over. "Oh Hey, Orin what's up?"

Ty lee is simple minded, she would be a good option to get my mind of my stupidity. "Just thinking. Wanna talk?"

Ty Lee stretched backwards giving me a great view. Ty lee smiled, "I don't mind talking, but I assume its just a distraction from the fact something something has changed from your ideas?"

"That is accurate."

"Yeah, Azula does the same thing. I've gotten used to it, you handle it differently then how she does though. You seem more lost then angry. Why don't you practice your bending. You said Air bending was difficult so why not try and take some time to understand it better."

Huh, that made sense actually. "You wanna help me?"

Ty Lee jumped and landed on her feet. "Yeah I don't mind, but how can i help?"

i shrugged, Ty lee then sat down. "Well I think you are asking me because I'm 'free' right? I can imagine how you might compare my mind set to that of a nomad."

This was strangely logical, "Truthfully Orin, I'm not similar at all. There is a difference between freedom of choice and freedom of life. Nomads are free from the choices they make, all things are actions of fate. While I am free in my life, I know my choices have consequences and as such I try my best to have as little choices as possible."

"Huh, you uh, thinking hard or hardly thinking about this?"

Ty lee giggled, "I understand what you mean Orin. Some people have routines where they just preform actions involuntary and when preforming these actions they just have time to think. making them much more..."

"Cognitive?" She was referring to shower thoughts, I sat down next to her cross legged. "So then how do you suggest i work on air bending?"

Ty lee gave me a smile, "Just feel the wind silly. How does it feel across your skin, does it make your hair stand up? Is it cold, hot? i don't know how skilled you are at air bending, but if you can't make progress normally shouldn't you try the basics within nature?"

Taking a breath I chose to take it in slowly.
