Rude to point

----Feng Tai pov, plot chapter oh boy! Tell me if its weird at all I've been ruminating on this one.----

Walking into a dying town it was the perfect place to gather myself. I cringed as my skin shifted. I knew it was risky, but I had to try. I thought I would be able to at least kill one of the fire nation royal family if I had won that competition.

Instead the whole thing was rigged from the start as a publicity stunt. I still got my chance at the Fire Lord. Except that didn't work out either and now I had the scars to match that failure. I tossed some coins towards a merchant selling rice.

It was slightly moldy, but it was edible. Better then whatever I would've been served in prison. I saw some kid sitting behind the merchant stand. He stared at my face, distracted by my appearance. I didn't blame him.

I shuffled along with my new bag of rice. I could cook it with some skill. I twitched as the whispers in my ears told me to help the boy. How could they be so fickle? First they scream to kill someone then they say save someone. They needed to make up thei- "URGH!" I gripped my arm as a rush of pain went through it.

My skin bubbled and warped. I turned and saw the boy being held by a man. I sighed pulling my sword and with a swift motion severed his hand. "You know I can understand your decisions, but what does that boy have to do with your troubles? He threw an egg at you get over it."

The man was gritting his teeth and pointed at me. "GET THAT FREAK!"

His two goons stumbled forward. These men were part of the problem, it was all part of the problem. I sighed, slicing through the first one and stabbing into the second. They both went down with a growl and then silence. The leader stumbled and I slit his throat with a clean motion. His blood sprayed out from his artery covering the kid. Unfortunate, I turned before I I could see the kid make a feeble attempt to run away.

This town was now without any protector, those men were extortioners and soldiers sent by the earth kingdom. Except they still did their job. Why must these people even need protection, the should just stand up and fight for themselves. Why rely on those who call themselves noble while cowardly hiding behind others.

The burns I got for trying to slice the throat of the fire lord weren't even caused by the man himself. A coward who waits for a comet to slaughter another coward who hides behind walls. Pathetic it was all pathetic! I breathed out, the voices were provoking me again. I breathed in and out. "I am grateful for the powers I was given, but how I wish they didn't speak so much."

-----up coming /~! break down(just encase) / means unknown speaker, ~ from far distance, ! many people speaking (the notation)vvvvv----

"/~!Sense, path North. Go to the north, slay the baron and free the people. Show them power!~/"

North? North was a fire nation colony why would I got there? I sighed, whatever. I wasn't gonna fight it. Otherwise who knows what will happen to my body. I felt it constantly change. After my 'swim' in the ocean it feels like I am growing scales or more hair or soothing. I can't describe it, but it made me itchy and peeling.

Before going North though... I dropped my sack of rice by a tree. Breaking off some dead branches I would start up a fire. I shuffled toward a small pond. I would need to boil this water before I use it to cook. I sighed feeling a sting in my fingers. I blinked, looking at my hand it seemed the burns that were there had healed. No they didn't heal, they just changed i no longer had fingerprints. How creepy.

-----??? pov, (don't question me! I did say i had ruminated on this one.)-----

I dropped my bag, what was I to do? I never expect to actually get banished. Was it so wrong to think about returning and involving ourselves with the current world affairs? I turned as she grabbed my hand.

"Where you go, I go."

I smiled and kissed her. She was what rooted me. "Where do you wanna go?"

She made face before pointing, "How about some dusty ruins? It has been a long time since clans joined together."

Stepping onto the boat I grabbed a paddle, "Fingers crossed."

I knew what she meant. It had been 100 years or so since the clan settled on the sleeping island. It was a beautiful island, but escaping pas the endless hurricanes might be a tad difficult in our dingy. "Together I don't think any storm can stop us."

"You say that, but what if we come across some sea monster huh?"

"What sass!" I laughed, "A simple blast and dash! Just like when we stole those pies from the old store house as kids."

"We still are kids stupid."

"Hey! No more elders, as far as they care 15 is adults after all we both are masters."

She smiled again, a truly beautiful smile. She spoke, "Let's go change the world."

"Yes! Let's!"
