A Whole New World

Time Skip 3 years:

During the last three years, Fan Li has found out some things that have shocked him to his very core. The thing that has shocked him the most is the real possibility of ascending to immortality in this world. Yes this world, as in one of multiple, because apparently, he is not the only one that is aware of the existence of multiple realms.

The people of this world are very aware of the existence of other realms because the world he was currently inhabiting was a higher realm, that is a realm that has the existence of a mystical energy called qi.

Qi is the energy that exists in the air of all higher realms, it is the perfect energy that is created when a higher realm is born, it is in the air, water, and even the ground at different concentrations.

But the most important thing about qi is that a person that possesses a spiritual root can absorb the qi in the world to improve themselves, to make themselves more perfect and closer to the Dao.

His new identity in this world is that of the crown prince of the Wang Dynasty, his father, the emperor, is called Wang Qian and is a person who has ascended into immortality, and their family is the ruling family of the higher realm called the Celestial Dynasty Realm.

But unfortunately just when his hopes for reaching immortality and enlightenment were ignited, his father's words were like a bucket of cold water dumped on his head dashing them all. The five words that doomed his hopes to reach immortality: "You have no spiritual roots".

Of course, his father was still his father and his affection for his child overpowered his disappointment and he promised to take care of his child for as long as he lived.

Fan Li or it now it should be Wang Wei spirit was not so weak as to be crushed by this discovery, his control over his desires has reached an impossible realm and his strength of will has become unbreakable because of his lifelong pursuit of Buddhahood, while he was still on Earth, he once spent a week in a cave in deep meditation without food and water.

So such a small thing cant even compare, but his hopes for enlightenment were again reignited when he learned of the existence of physical cultivation, people who cultivate using their bodies, they don't need to guide the qi using their spirit root, they take medical supplements infused with qi to strengthen their bodies until they can lift 10 cows and shatter hills, but this type of cultivation is very limited and it doesn't lead to immortality.

It is divided into skin-strengthening, muscle-strengthening, organ tempering, and finally, blood exchanging realm.

People who cultivate this way can never reach the Dao and never become enlightened and they can at most live to 1000 years.

But Wang Wei's plan wasn't to cultivate using this method but to create his own cultivation path based on the 5000 years of Buddhist history from his past life and what gave him hope in this endeavor is that he found out that after his reincarnation his thinking was way more agile, meditation became way easier, and even his memory has greatly improved.

He could even remember every single thing he has ever read including all of the Buddhist scriptures from Earth, even process and comprehend all of it extremely quickly and even improve on some of it.

All of this information was taught to him by the imperial tutor that his father employed. When his father found out about his intelligence, instead of being happy for him, he was extremely disappointed that such potential of the spirit has been wasted because he has no spiritual roots.

But even though he had plans for making his own Buddhist cultivation technique he couldn't expose himself as a reincarnate by acting overly suspicious so he had to wait until he completed his father's ultimatum.

Because he begged his father to leave the palace to go out and explore, but no matter how much he begged, his father completely denied all of his requests, until one day he got so sick of him bothering him so much that he made him an ultimatum, that was supposed to be completely impossible, that if he could finish all of his studies and reach the blood exchanging realm he would be able to go out outside the palace.

But that ultimatum was extremely difficult to accomplish within such a short time, the blood exchanging realm was the peak of physical cultivation, as far as it is known in this world. Even with the abundant resources of the Celestial Wang Clan, it would take at least 100 years to reach that realm. While physical cultivation is still way weaker than qi cultivation the blood-exchanging realm cultivator could still be on par with the Qi-Condensation realm.

The Qi cultivation is made up of Qi-Gathering, Qi-Condensation, Golden-Core, Nascent soul, Deification, and Immortal realms, and even some realms above that but the imperial tutor wasn't too clear on them, because cultivators who have reached those realms would be walking calamities, capable of destroying entire higher realms, it was even rumored that they could even create them.

And so while it was extremely difficult to achieve Wang Wei still succeeded in accomplishing it by the age of three, in part because of his strengthened spirit and willpower to endure the torture that is taking the qi-infused herbs and pills.

Being able to jump over 100 meters and run faster than sound was extremely novel to Wang Wei, and he would spend hours upon hours just experimenting with his newfound abilities.

And it was while he was doing this experimentation that his will to become a perfect enlightened Buddha was becoming more and more unbreakable, because if being merely in the blood exchanging realm could make him be able to do all of this then he could only speculate on his abilities when he achieved Buddhahood.

Would he be able to enlighten all living beings or even create worlds?

Would billions chant his name for salvation?

What sights would he be able to see?

And so now Wang Wei is about to celebrate his birthday and announce to his father his success in completing his ultimatum and taking his beginning steps in this new world and in the pursuit of Buddhahood.
