Proposing an Alliance

Once the boundary of Wang Wei's spiritual sense touched the inside of Wang Chao's body, a light flashed out from whitin the opened spiritual orifice.

Wang Wei's consciousness became muddled as soon as his spiritual sense detected that light and he could feel himself drifting off to sleep, however just as he was about to lose consciousness he broke out of that strange state.

He was horrified that his consciousness could be affected in such a way that even with his cleansed soul he could still be incapacitated even if it was just temporarily.

Wang Chao actually noticed that strange state Wang Wei entered because his heightened senses managed to detect the change in Wang Wei's breathing patterns so he asked in a worried tone "Are you alright crown prince?"

Wang Wei dismissed his concerns however inside his interest in Wang Chao's cultivation technique skyrocketed because he knew that he stumbled upon something special, and his intuition was screaming at him that he needed to learn more.

Therefore he decided at that moment that he needed to enter an alliance with Wang Chao in order for him to be able to learn the follow-up realm after opening the spirit orifices.

Wang Wei then proceeded to say to Wang Chao that had a bewildered expression after reading Wang Wei's cultivation method "I have a proposition for you. Since in the future we might have to face Wang Long or even your sister Wang Mei in a battle for resources I would like to propose an alliance between you and me the resources in this realm are limited after all.".

However, Wang Long didn't immediately accept and said "I would have to think about it after I solve the current situation.", Wang Wei just nodded and then said, "That's fine, but I will need space in order to set up a teleportation array since I don't plan on staying here for that long."

Once Wang Wei said that a look of undisguised shock appeared on Wang Long's face, since even though Wang Long had the way to cultivate Buddhism he didn't have a single clue to the abilities of the Soul Cleansing realm and as far as he knew the only people who could set up arrays were Nascent-Soul experts.

This new knowledge was a point in the favor of entering into an alliance with Wang Wei since arrays could be unimaginably helpful to cultivators no matter which path they cultivate.

Wang Chao then lead Wang Wei into an empty plot of land right outside of the palace where he would be able to inscribe the array.

The teleportation array was considered an intermediate difficulty array, and luckily Wang Wei learned it from the Heavenly Will.

So then Wang Wei started inscribing the array and with his second stage Soul Cleansing realm, it took him barely a few minutes to finish inscribing the first part of the array after all the teleportation array has two parts.

After finishing the first part of the array he said goodbye to Wang Chao and immediately went back to his own continent. The journey took him a few days flying at the speed of sound and once he was he quickly installed the second part of the teleportation formation in the mountain next to the Sect.

Once he finished inscribing the array he went ahead and sat down to meditate next to the array, he did this not to cultivate in the Soul Cleansing realm but to wait for Wang Chao to finish his affairs in the civilization and more importantly to communicate with the Heavenly Will about Wang Chao's cultivation method.

He asked the Heavenly Will what was so special about the spirit orifices and why merely looking at it would cause such a reaction even from his cleansed soul.

Nonetheless what he didn't expect was for the Heavenly Will to stay silent, it was extremely strange and the only reason Wang Wei could think of as to why such a thing would happen was that the Dao Ancestor set some kind of restriction against this.

However he still couldn't figure out why he would put a restriction on this knowledge, so he just sighed and made a mental note that as soon as he wins this trial he would ask the Heavenly Will the same question.

After all, he would be its controller and there would be no one who would be able to restrict it from answering the question then.

Since the Heavenly Will couldn't answer him Wang Wei decided that instead, he would cultivate while he waited for Wang Chao.

However, as soon as he started cleansing the third hindrance had a troubling discovery, once he even started trying to clean off the third hindrance he found that the others would not only become restless like before but now they became frantic in their efforts.

And what that did to him as a side effect was that it induced hallucinations, so not only would he have to endure the soul-splitting pain that the hindrances cause but while he was doing all of that he would have to ignore the hallucinations as well.

The hallucinations were very personal as well, they would try to make him believe that this new life of his was just the delusions of a dying old man and that he was still just laying on his deathbed going in and out of lucidity.

It was extremely difficult for him to not succumb to the hallucinations as they were perfectly made that even he that had a polished will was still at risk of getting lost in them.

This made cultivation a thousand times harder as his concentration kept slipping, and he had to constantly take breaks in order to be able to cultivate at all or he might actually go crazy and mistake the hallucinations with reality.

This was extremely troubling news to Wang Wei therefore he immediately contacted the Heavenly Will to try to come up with a solution to this problem.
