Preparing For The Next Test

Early the next morning Maelyn started to hurriedly eat her breakfast so that she would be at Congress before today's session of Congress began. Halfway through her meal Abjul Casually walked up and told her as he sat down, "You can take your time and enjoy each bite. Congress doesn't start their sessions for another hour at the earliest. And, with this being the start of the week, you probably have closer to TWO hours before enough members will be able to wake up and attend for the session to start. That is unless you are trying to avoid me because you didn't enjoy our date last night!" he finished with a tease.

  "Oh! No! I truly enjoyed our walk last night." Maelyn told him with a slight blush accompanied by an affectionate smile as she explained, "I was just trying to make sure I was there and ready to go when the members arrived this morning! That way I could start off impressing them with how serious I would take this responsibility as Queen."
