Chapter 3: Market District

3rd Person's POV

Then they continued eating, they still ordered again after finishing the first dishes they ordered.

30 minutes later~

"Uwaah~ I'm full." Aki said while rubbing his belly.

Then, Sheila comes to them.

"Are you done? May I get your plates now?" Sheila ask.

"Yes we're done, thank you." Mr. Ken thanked Sheila.

"You're welcome." Sheila takes away the plates then she left.

Aki stands up from his seat then said to Mr. Ken that he will go back to the library and he will comeback before dinner.

Library~

Aki activate his skill [Photographic Memory] then continued his reading until he read all the books in the library except the magic theories.

Then Aki goes to magic theories section. He was curious about magic so he reads all the magic theory books in the shelf.

'So mana is needed to invoke magic spells, with a magic scepter, it may increase the accuracy, attack power and the speed of chanting your spell, it will be much better if your scepter have beast core that corresponds with your affinity.

The higher the tier of your beast core, the higher it will affect your accuracy, attack power and the speed of chanting your spell. But the higher the tier of beast core, the harder it is to integrate in your scepter.

If you had no mana even if you have an affinity to any elements, it will not work. But with a mana stone, even if you are just a normal person you can invoke spell, but of course the mana stone must have a spell engraved in it.

There are 11 elements; the basic elements: Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire. The rare elements: Wood, Ice, Lightning, Light and Dark, lastly the legendary elements: Time and Space. Time and Space Element users are so rare that they are very valued by the human countries for making transportation portal, space ring and many more.

There's a level in every spell, namely; Tier 1 - Tier 10. For example Fire ball which is a Tier 1 magic spell while Hell Fire is a Tier 10 magic spell' Aki contemplated this info in his head.

Aki was curious about the magic spells so he tried to find the so called Grimoire in the library, but he is disappointed because he didn't find any Grimoire in the whole library so he went to the librarian to ask.

"Uhmm... excuse me, may I know where you keep the grimoires?"

"Oh sorry there's no grimoires in any library, they are sold on magic shops." the librarian said.

"Ah, is that so? sorry for the inconvenience then, thank you." Aki politely waved goodbye to the librarian and exits the library, then he walked back to the Inn.

in the Inn~

"Welcome back!" Sheila said to Aki when he saw him back.

Aki nods then he asked "Is Mr. Ken here?"

"Ah, Mr. Ken is upstairs room no. 8"

"Thank you!" then Aki went upstairs and knock at the room no. 8.

Knock knock~

"Who is it?" the person in the room asked.

"Mr. Ken! it's me! Aki!"

"Oh! Aki! wait a minute I will open the door." then Mr. Ken opened the door and let Aki in the room.

"So what do you want with me Aki?" Mr. Ken gestured to sit, then he asked.

"Uhm... Mr. Ken, I want to buy a Grimoire so can you help me to the magic shop?"

"Oh, is that so? then let's go to the Market District." Mr. Ken stands up from his sit and said.

Aki stands up too and said "Ok! let's go!"

Mr. Ken and Aki walked to the Market District.

Market District~

Aki saw many people walking, talking and buying things from the stalls. He saw the things in the stalls; things, fruits, and many more things that he didn't know of, and

of course Aki didn't forget to use [Appraisal] in every items he didn't know of.

They walked through the sea of people until they came at the front door of the magic shop. They open the door then they go inside.

"Welcome!" standing at the counter is a woman in a mage robed said.

"Are you going to buy or sell?" the woman said.

They go near the counter "Uhm... I would like to buy some Grimoires." Aki said

"Oh what element and tier?" the woman goes to the door at her back then asked

"Tier 1 of Wind, Water, Fire and Wood please!" Aki shouted because the woman is already at the room at the back room of the counter.

A minute later the woman came out holding 4 encyclopedia thick books with different colors.

'Are the tier 1 grimoires always this thick?' Aki thought he use [Appraisal] to appraise them.

[Item: Tier 1 Fire Grimoire

Contains Tier 1 Fire magic spells]

"Here is it, Tier 1 Wind, Water, Fire and Wood Grimoires. Will you also buy a magic sceptre compatible for Wind, Water, Fire and Wood?" the woman asked.

"Yes please!"

Then the woman gets to the back room again, then she brought back 3 boxes. She opened the 3 boxes in front of Aki.

"Ok here are the only scepter that I have, they are made from the Treant Cloud beast wood that corresponds with your elements. This is a tier 3 wood, this one here is a tier 5 wood while this one is a tier 8." the woman explained.

Aki place his hand on top of the 3 boxes, then suddenly the tier 5 wood scepter lit up.

"Oh! it seems this one is the suitable for you." the woman then took a golden needle in a drawer in her table then gives it to Aki.

Aki nods at her then he took the needle and prick his fore finger to let the blood drop at the tier 5 wood scepter.

After 3 drops of Aki's blood the scepter lit up with 4 colors, namely; red, blue, green and white.

Thanks to the library, Aki found the way of finding and marking a suitable scepter.

The woman took the golden needle then she said; "Ok! the scepter is already marked by you. 4 Tier 1 Grimoires which are 2,000 jils while the tier 5 wood scepter of a Treant Cloud beast is 10,500 jils, all in all 12,500 jils."

"Ok here it is." Aki gave here 1 small gold coin.

The woman took the coin then packed the 4 grimoires and the scepter, then he gave the change to Aki.

"Uhm... I didn't order this box." Aki said when he saw a box in the packed items.

"Oh that? that's on the counter. Think of it as a gift from me as a fellow mage, by the way my name is Aries." the woman said.

"Thank you and nice to meet you Aries! my name is Aki!" Aki and Aries both shake hands then they waved good bye to each other.

Mr. Ken and Aries looked at each other while Aki was not paying attention at them, then Aki and Mr. Ken exits the magic shop.

After that Mr. Ken and Aki strolled at the market district, they buy some essential things like tooth brush, towel, and many more.

They stop at a Cafe to order some snacks. Mr. Ken ordered Halo-halo and 10 pieces Graham balls while Aki ordered Chocolate Ice Scramble and 10 pieces Pastillas.

Then the waitress gave their order at their sit with a smile in his face, Aki didn't mind it and then just smiled back at the waitress.

After eating the snacks they stood up to pay to the counter. "The Halo-halo and Chocolate Ice Scramble are 20 jils while the Graham balls and Pastillas are 5 jils per pieces, you both bought 10 pieces so it's 50 jils. All in all, it's 140 jils." the man in the counter said.

Aki gives the man on the counter 2 large copper coin, then the counter man gives the change to them.

'Hmm is that waitress and this man on the counter are twins or just siblings?' he thought, after that they exits the cafe. Aki looked back at the cafe and there he saw the

name of the cafe. [Philip and Ino's Cafe]

Aki and Mr. Ken make another round at the market district to buy some essential things for their journey.

Some time later, the sky begins to darken. So Aki and Mr. Ken walked back together to the Inn to rest.
