Chapter 20 - A Surprising Discovery, Gift Giving

To Xin Jin's amazement, the three of them, Him including Luo Mei and Han Yi ended up having a cozy night in.

Han Yi taught them how to play some games that the kids in her old neighborhood used to play, while Xin Jin taught them how to play games like Rock, Paper, Scissors, hopscotch, and Freeze Tag.

Both Han Yi and Luo Mei were actually very impressed that he knew how to play so many games they'd never seen before.

Eventually it got late and it was time for bed.

Xin Jin felt like he was close to a breakthrough so he decided to cultivate instead of sleeping and Luo Mei chose to join him.

The two of them ended up cultivating with their shirts off, sittting Back-to-back.

It was only a matter of seconds until the two of them had matched their breathing, and their heartbeats synced as Spirit Energy flowed through their bodies at an increased rate.

Xin Jin noticed at this point that his absorption speed was now about 4x faster.

At first he wasn't sure what was going on, but as he looked deeper into his Dantian, he realized that there were now 2 ethereal threads made of golden energy that seemed to connect his, Luo Mei's behind him, and Gu Xian'er back at the Abundant Treasures Imporium whom he could also feel was cultivating.

Xin Jin wasn't completely sure what was happening, but he did have an idea.

If his theory was right, the System has somehow connected his body to those of his lovers, and now they all share a bond that allows then to benefit from a massively increased Cultivation Speed.

While he was figuring this out for himself, Luo Mei and Gu Xian'er, who were currently stronger than him had both sensed and roughly figured it had something to do with Xin Jin.

With not so much as a second thought, all three began to push ahead in their Cultivation.

Nobody would ever give up on an opportunity to get stronger quicker.

By the next morning, Xin Jin was knocking on the door to Spirit Warrior Level 10. He figured it wouldn't take too much longer with more nights like the previous one.

On the other hand, Luo Mei could sense that she was nearing a threshold in the peak of Spirit Grandmaster. It may take years, decades, or even a century, but if successful she may have the opportunity to ascend to the Spirit Daemon Realm.

Gu Xian'er on the other hand also managed to break through a level as a Spirit Master, much to her enthusiasm.

It didn't take long after sunrise for Xin Jin and Luo Mei to hear the expected sound of the front gate opening and the sound of light and hurried footsteps.

Of course it was Gu Xian'er who seemed to be incredibly excited.

"What-"

But before she could ask a question, Xin Jin put his hand up and shook his head.

"Stop." He stated firmly, cutting of her obvious question.

Gu Xian'er wanted to continue to ask questions, but when she saw how both Xin Jin and Luo Mei were both seemingly unconcerned about what had transpired, then she figured to not let it bother her since an answer would present itself eventually.

Han Yi, who noticed that there seemed to be some sort of tense atmosphere initially, couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

But after everyone began eating breakfast again, she went back to enjoying the meal in front of her.

After breakfast was over, Xin Jin brought all three of the ladies into the main hall to discuss a few things.

One of which being he felt it was finally time to hand out the items made from Dragon Blood Jade to the girls.

"So, why did you bring us here?" Asked Gu Xian'er as she asked curiously whilst sitting comfortably on Xin Jin's lap while he sat on the hosts seat.

Meanwhile, Luo Mei wore a graceful smile while pouring him a glass of warm tea as she commented "Why the hurry Sister Xian'er, we'll find out soon enough."

"But I hate being kept waiting the most." Gu Xian'er said with a fake pout.

"There, there. No need to get upset." Xin Jin said to the young woman as he patted her head with a kind smile.

He then looked over to Han Yi who was sitting on a seat on a lower level and motioned for her to approach.

When all three were before him, he took out the beautiful redwood case with the Dragon Blood Jade jewelry inside.

All three pairs of eyes immediately lit up, sparkling like stars in the night sky.

Seeing their reactions, Xin Jin couldn't help but suppress a chuckle as he slowly opened the box.

Once the items were exposed to the light of day they radiated with a glorious light.

He had Gu Xian'er first stand up, then had all three stand next to each other.

After staring at them each for a moment as if considering what to do, he reached into the box and pulled out one of the rings and the pair of earrings and handed them to Luo Mei.

He first put the ring on her left ring finger for her, but she put the magnificent earrings on herself.

"Thank You so much." She said with a beaming expression, one Xin Jin thought may be permanently etched on her face.

"Of course. They wouldn't look as good on me after all." He said with a laugh

He then turned to Gu Xian'er who was already holding out her hand. After he slid the ring on her finger she jumped on him and gave him a big kiss, shocking Han Yi and causing Luo Mei to laugh.

It would seem that she had anticipated only receiving a ring.

She was the second woman, so it's to be expected on some level.

At this point Han Yi's face became increasingly displeased.

This was of course because no girl wants to miss out on pretty things.

"What's the matter Yi'er?" Xin Jin asked with a charming smile.

"I didn't get anything..." She said sullenly

"What do you mean silly? Just because you didn't get something like the others doesn't mean you get nothing." He said reassuringly.

"Really?" she asked as if she didn't believe him.

"Of course." He said, taking out one of the 'Xin' emblems and handing it to her "You wanted to be my maid right? Well this makes you my Personal Maid, my right hand in other words."
