Isn't That What Thieves Do?

The bandits' chests were sent flying, flying backwards in an arc, falling hard against the earth as their lifeless bodies were hurled across the green field, thudding onto the ground. Their lifeless bodies lay there motionlessly, their eyes glazed over, staring blankly at nothing.

The sound of broken bones echoed throughout the vast and open land.

There was complete silence as everyone stood still in astonishment, unable to say anything.

Everyone stared at the corpses lying there motionless on the ground as they continued to stand in shock, shocked at what they witnessed.

Their mouths and eyes widened in disbelief as they gazed at the corpses in horror. Some of the bandits dropped their swords as they stared in shock at the corpses lying there on the ground.

Their legs trembled and collapsed beneath them as they kneeled on the ground, their mouths agape in disbelief and terror.

Aiden slowly retracted his fist as his lips curved into an evil smile as he stared down coldly at the corpses on the ground.

"Well well well.... How interesting..." He exclaimed, his tone amused and mocking. "This isn't how things are supposed to go."

He walked up towards the bandits, gazing down upon them.

"Aren't you all supposed to be clever and cunning?" He asked, looking at them mockingly.

"Isn't that what thieves do?" He scoffed in amusement.

"But what a bunch of clowns you've turned into....." He said mockingly, looking down upon them, shaking his head in amazement.

A few of the bandits remained kneeling down on the ground trembling with fright as they stared at the corpses on the ground. They did not dare even lift their heads to look at him. They could barely even move a muscle, they were frozen in shock. Their hands shook wildly with nerves as they tried to hold their weapons, trying to defend themselves, but they knew they could not even raise their heads.

Travish was trembling with fear, his heart beating in panic and fear, he led a monster into his carriage.

Aiden stared down at the fallen figures, their eyes dull and empty, their faces slack, their mouths open slightly, their eyes wide open in shock. Blood splashed around the corpses, covering their faces.

A bandit quickly stood up and ran away, screaming in fear. A group of other bandits quickly stood up, also running away from him.

Travish stood rooted to the spot in terror, unable to run or fight. Fear engulfed him. As he stood there with his hands clasped together, shaking, his mouth hung open, gasping for breath, staring down at the lifeless bodies before him, he could not take his eyes off of them. He kept staring at the dead bodies on the ground as he continued to tremble in fear.

"Stupid idiots." Aiden said calmly looking towards the bandits that had started to flee.

He made a grasping motion in the air as the twenty remaining bandits exploded into pieces and shattered apart into dust.

Travish stared in horror at Aiden, horrified at how he managed to destroy so many bandits so effortlessly. He felt utterly helpless in awe by Aiden, stunned as he stared at him, his mind still in a daze as Aiden stood there calmly.

It took Travish a minute to snap out of his terrified state as he stared at Aiden, staring at Aiden in utter amazement and wonder, amazed by the fact that he had just destroyed more than thirty bandits without even breaking a sweat.

Travish could not stop himself from shivering in fear at how powerful Aiden was, being able to kill so easily in such ease.

That power, that strength, that was something that can only be seen in the royal families.

"Young noble Aiden....." Travish breathed out, looking at him with wide and terrified eyes.

"Who are you..?" Travish whimpered, whispering softly under his breath, scared at Aiden.

Travish slowly walked back, retreating backwards slowly until he reached his seat, sitting back down slowly.

Sweat rolled down his face nonstop.

Aiden looked down at Travish's terrified face, staring at him as he smiled and nodded.

"I'm just a wandering playboy, nothing special." Said Aiden in a carefree tone, smiling. He sat back into his seat, staring intently at Travish, his expression calm, as though there was no one else in the whole wide world except for him.

"Let's forget what happened just now and continue to our destination." He added, smirking slightly as he crossed his hands behind his back, turning around to look out the window.

Travish blinked in bewilderment as he continued to ponder silently.

Aiden leaned back in his seat, resting lazily, his head lolling to the side as he stared at the windows of the carriage, staring outside. The sunlight shone through the large window in front of him, illuminating his features from above, casting long shadows over the floor.

Travish stared in amazement out of the window, blinking, looking at the scenery passing by him slowly as the coach continued to drive along.

***

It had been four days since the event with the bandits had occurred.

Aiden had stayed outside the coach to rest, enjoying some peace and quiet as he let the wind blow through his long pitch black hair as he reclined, basking in the sunlight. He enjoyed the sun, its warm rays of light shining upon him. His eyes closed as his eyes remained shut.

Travish had stayed inside the carriage, watching as Aiden had rested outside, enjoying the sunlight which warmed his skin.

"Young noble Aiden, you seem to be enjoying the sun." Travish said in amazement, looking at Aiden with widened eyes as he watched Aiden enjoy the warmth of the sun.

Aiden slowly opened his eyes, staring at Travish.

A small grin curled up the edges of his lips, as he stared at Travish.

Aiden shrugged with his right shoulder, leaning his head back as he let out a small sigh, closing his eyes once more.

"Yes, yes I am."

"May I ask why young noble Aiden is enjoying the sunshine." Said Travish curiously.

"Because it's too hot inside the carriage." Answered Aiden simply, opening his eyes again.

Travish blinked his big, blue eyes at him with puzzlement.

"Is young noble Aiden saying that he likes the sun because it's too hot inside the carriage?" Asked Travish curiously.

Aiden only gave him a smile in response.
