Chapter 16: Attacked Us

I laid in my bed at my house, just thinking in what it was that they had said to me. A couple of random and very strange people that I had never met before had pulled me in to an ally way, and told me that I was an important person. I was a little bit lost by it, but when they had started to get on the subject of the rebellion that I was in, than I had begun to under stand a bit of just what it was that they were getting at in the very first place any ways. I was just quite a bit lost as to just how it was that they would know that I had any sort of importance. I suppose I could call my self important, due to the fact that I brought people in to the rebellion, but that was about it on just what it was that I did that was deemed any sort of important, or what it was that really even helped the rebellion. Hell, I had stayed silent when they had been talking to the caravan, as for one thing, it really was not my room to talk to them, nor did I really have any thing that I wanted to say.

Besides, I really had not been there for much of it, all at the exact same time as well, as I had only been there for the beginning part of all of it, when they had just been talking about what it was that was even going on in the very first place any ways. I felt a bit bad that I had left them behind, but at the exact same time too, I also knew that they did not really need me all that much in the very first place any ways. I sighed a bit to my self all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to calm my self down off of all of those thoughts. Well, I had been talking to those people for quite a bit of some time, and I had asked a lot of questions that they either did not know the answer to, or they just refused to tell me the answer to it. It seemed like they knew a lot about what it was that was going on here, and it felt quite a bit strange to me. I felt like they still could be a part of the government, and if the government knew all that was going on here in the first place, than it was over before it even had started.

I breathed in quite a bit heavily to my self how ever, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that I had to think a little bit optimistic, and that I needed to have a little bit of faith at the very least. I had asked about my wife, but they had just stayed silent on that, as it was clear that they did not have a single clue as to just what it was that I was talking about, which felt a bit weird, and a bit strange to me, considering they seemed to know so much about me, and that my wife, and my unborn child were such an important part of my life, all at the exact same time too. I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts all at the exact same time as well, as I then got my focus on just what it was that had happened after all of that, as I knew that all of the questions that I had asked those people, in the end, it had really got me no where. What was more important, really did not have all too much to do with them in the very first place any ways.

No... I had in fact been in that ally way for an extra long time, so long in fact, that people had began to notice that I had gone missing, when the caravan and all of that was done. They then in the end began to search for me, and Randy and Sabin found me in the ally way with a bunch of strange people that they had never met before. If I was Sabin, than I would have been a little bit worried as to the fact that he might be worried that I was betraying the rebellion, as it was clear that not just to us, but these people were not normal people, and they were not from around here. He was about to attack them at first, when Randy had managed to stop him, all at the exact same time too, and he had managed to talk him out of doing what it was that he had been about to do in the very first place any ways never the less. I was grateful that Randy had done that at the exact same time too, but I also knew that it made sense as to why he had done that in the very first place any ways, and why he had not simply just acted the same way that Sabin had.

It was due to the fact that he had seen these people staring at us, and looking at us when we had been attacking our job site not all too long ago. It also was a bit of a surprise to me as to the fact that they had not asked why we had in fact attacked our job site, as they knew for a fact that I had worked there. I was a bit lost with these people, as I had asked about their past, but they had refused to answer all of that for some strange and odd reason or another, which made things sort of feel even more fishy to me none the less. Off to that subject once again though, as I got my focus on the fact instead that there was stuff going on right now with what it was that had happened after all was said and done. Yes, in fact, Sabin too had talked to them, even though for some odd reason, as he was the leader of the rebellion, they did not seem as interested in the fact that they were talking to him, than when it was that they were talking to me, as it did not seem like they really knew who Sabin was, nor did they think he was all too important either.

I knew that it kind of upset Sabin, all at the exact same time as well, but after he had a bit of a quiet conversation with them, that neither me or Randy could here, in the end, he had agreed to let them stay at his house for a while, as he felt like they might be a lot of some help to the rebellion, all at the exact same time too. I was glad for it, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I did not want to talk to them for any more time, all at the exact same time too. The people were in fact quite a bit strange to me, and they kind of freaked me out, if I was not going to lie to my self, so I was just glad when they followed Sabin to his home, and that was the last that I had seen from them after all of that. Besides, I knew that I had to get some sleep at some point or another, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that Sabin had told us that we needed to be up for the next plans that we had for the upcoming day, never the less.

I nodded just a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then finally managed to close my eyes all at the exact same time as well, as I just had my eyes up at the ceiling for quite a bit of some time, none the less. I breathed in a bit to my self, as I then all of the sudden rolled my self around, all at the exact same time too, until I got my self in to a bit of a more comfortable position on the bed, which might help me get some good sleep for the night, which would be a good thing, as I had not got the best of sleep as of late, but you could surely not really blame me for that right? With all that was going on around me right now, it was quite a bit hectic, and it was quite a bit stressful, all at the exact same time as well, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all of the sudden, and I then got my focus off of all of that, all at once, and I then finally managed to get my self comfortable enough to fall asleep. I did in fact do as such a thing, not all too long after all of that never the less.

I woke up, to hear quite some loud knocking on the door of my place, which did in fact freak me out quite a bit, as I had actually finally been having some good sleep last night, as I was fairly certain that I had not woken up a single time during the night, all at the exact same time as well. But now, I was in fact quite a bit worn out right at this very moment in time, due to the fact that I knew that I had not fallen asleep until very late last night, as I had been too deep in to my thoughts at the exact same time as well, which I felt quite a bit guilty for too. I groaned quite a bit all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden turned my head over to the window of my bed room, as it seemed like the knocking had stopped all of that sudden, at the exact same time as well. I was still a little bit lost as to just what it was that was even going on in the very first place any ways, as I saw that it was quite a bit early in the morning, as it seemed to be a little bit dark out still.

If it was still a bit dark out, than it meant at the exact same time as well, that it was also still quite a bit cold out side right now, which had me quite a bit lost as to just why it was that some one would be knocking on my door this early in the morning, in the very first place any ways. I was not all too sure about any of it if I was going to be for real with my self, as I kind of felt like that I might have been making up the fact that some one was knocking on my door, in my mind for some odd reason or another, due to the fact that my brain had simply told my self that it was time for me to wake up, which I also did not know as to just why it was that it would be the fact either. I knew that I had to get up early in the morning, due to the fact that Sabin had told me to do as such a thing, all at the exact same time as well, as he had said that we needed to have a meeting at his place, for some odd reason or another, all at the exact same time too. He had not said that it was going to be this early in the morning how ever, and I was a little bit worried at just who it was that was even at my front door in the very first place any ways.

I laid in bed for just a little bit longer, as I heard that it was all empty in silent, which made me tilt my head a bit at first, due to the fact that I was quite a bit lost as to just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time any ways. I really was starting to think that my mind had made all of that up, just to get me to wake up. I did not want to wake up right now how ever, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, and I then put my head up against my pillow, such as it had been not all too long ago. I stood for just a bit longer too, and I then all of the sudden close my eyes, all at the exact same time as well, as I felt like I just wanted to get back to sleep. I was so worn out as it was, and I actually was kind of sort of regretting the fact that I had joined a rebellion more and more every single day that seemed to pass along as well.

What was I talking about though? I knew that the government had taken my wife from me, and I knew that I had to do some thing about all of that, all at the exact same time as well, as I knew that I could not live with my self if I did not at the very least try to bring her back to me, or maybe even die trying to save her from all of the evil that had stolen her from me in the very first place any ways as well. I nodded a bit to my self, as I had a lot of thoughts seem to come to my head right now, all at the exact same time too, as I really just wanted to push it all away. I knew that if I got some sleep, that would help me at the exact same time too, but none the less, it was in fact quite a bit hard for me to sleep with all of the thoughts that were going on in the very first place any ways. I gulped a bit to my self, as I knew that I was worn out, and I knew that I was tired, but I just could not fall to sleep for some odd reason.

I sighed, all at the exact same time too, as I kind of gave up on all of that, after just a little bit longer, as I then all of the sudden lifted my self up from off of the bed that I had been laying on for quite a bit of some time now. It seemed like, as well, that it was just the perfect time for me to do as such a thing, as it turned out, as I now began to realize that I was not going crazy, that some one really had been knocking on my door not all too long ago, never the less, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, and I then all of the sudden began to get up from off of my bed, all at the exact same time too. I under stood as to just why it was that I had thought that my brain had been making all of that up, due to the fact that I knew that I had just woken up, and that I was quite a bit worn out all at the exact same time too, which was for sure not a very good combination to have none the less, as I nodded a bit to my self all at once, just glad that at the very least, I realized that it was the case.

I still was a little bit lost as to just why it was that some one was knocking on my door so early in the morning in the very first place any ways, due to the fact that I knew that it was very cold out side right now, and I really did not even want to open the door either, as I knew that it would let in quite a blast of cold air in to my house, all at the exact same time as well too. I blinked my eyes a few times at the exact same time as well, as I knew how ever, that there was some one waiting for me at my front door, for me to open it, and perhaps let them in, as it was in fact freezing cold out right now. I then all of the sudden nodded to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then began to start to head out of my bed room, not thinking all too much on any thing else at the exact same time too, as I knew that the best thing for me to do right now, was simply to have a blank sort of mind set right now. Was that really the best thing for me though? I was not all too sure, as I knew that I was also worried as to the fact that the government might be on our coat tails, all at the exact same time too.

I gulped a bit, as I was really starting to think that this might be a very bad idea, as I was not all too sure as to just why it was that some one in the rebellion would be at my home so early in the morning in the very first place any ways. Perhaps they would be at Sabins place, as to the fact that they might be seeking refugee, but my place just did not make all too much sense, as I simply only had 2 bed rooms, and I did not have all that much at my place in the very first place any ways. Especially after the fact that we had gone on strike at work as well, as I knew that I was not getting paid, and I hardly had any money in the very first place any ways. I stared down the hall way that was in front of me right now, as I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts how ever, as I knew that I really did not want to be in that sort of state, nor did I want to be in that sort of mind set right now, as to the fact that the government might be out looking for me right at this very moment in time, as I gulped a bit to my self.

Besides, I knew that so long as I was silent, and so long as I was swift whilst I walked down the hall way over to the front door, than I was sure that I was going to be fine if it actually was some government people. If it even was them any ways, than why would they be knocking on my door right now, when they could easily just bust in to my place as well. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I tilted my head as well, as I was not all too sure about any of it, if I was going to be for real with my self, and I was going to be completely honest with my self, all at the exact same time too. I nodded a bit to my self, as I knew that I was going to be fine, and it was more than likely just my good friend Randy, that had come to my place to head over to Sabins place a little bit earlier than I had expected. I knew that I needed to calm my self down, as I was sure that every thing was going to be okay, and that nothing spooky, nor was any thing freaky going on at this very moment in time any ways, as I then all of the sudden heard right up to the front door of my home.

I was about to straight up just open it, as I was fairly certain that it was going to be Randy no matter what, but I felt like that would be a stupid thing for me to do, as I knew that there was no reason for me to be lazy right now, especially at the times that we were in right now, as I breathed in quite a bit soft to my self, and I stopped my self before I opened the door to my home, all at the exact same time too. I shook my head, as I then instead began to look through the peep hole with my left eye, to see just what it was that was going on out side, all at the exact same time too, as I then began to shiver, at the exact same time too, as I saw that the people that were at my front door right now, was not at all Randy. The people that were there instead, were the 2 people that I had met in the ally way not all too long ago, just yesterday in fact, as I was a little bit lost as to just how it was that they had found my place in the very first place any ways.

I was quite a bit afraid, as I was not all too sure if I wanted to open the door. I knew that they knew a lot about me, and it kind of freaked me out. I was not all too sure if I did in fact want to open the door, as I was worried that they had come all this way to attack me, and to kill me. At the exact same time too how ever, I also felt like a little bit of an idiot for thinking that kind of way, as I knew that they had the perfect chance to do as such a thing, whilst I had been in the ally way not all too much longer ago, the day before. I felt like I could trust these people, and based off of the look of fear, and they scared look that they had on their own faces, I had to guess that they were a little bit more afraid than I was right now, for some odd reason or another. I was quite a bit lost as to just why that was the fact in the very first place any ways, as I knew that they were safe at Sabins place. Clearly they did not think that they were how ever, as that had to be why they were at my place right now.

I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then sighed a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, not all too much longer after all of that, as I was not all too sure as to just what else it was that I should be doing right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, as I knew that I had quite a bit of a blank look on my face. I just stared at them for a little bit longer, until I saw that Cole, all of the sudden was starting to reach his fist in, to knock on my door once again. That was when I made my decision, all at the exact same time too, as I could tell that these people were a bit afraid right now, as I then quickly opened the door to my place, before Cole had the chance to knock on it one more time. As I did as such a thing, I then saw quite a bit of a shocked look on the faces of the both of them, as if they had not seen in coming, and they might have thought that I was no in side of my home at all, for some odd reason or another, which did in fact confuse me quite a bit, as to just why it was that they might think that way in the very first place any ways.

It seemed like these people knew every thing about every thing, besides this clearly, as I tilted my head a bit, at the both of them, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that was going on with the both of them right now. I could tell that they were scared, and I was not all too sure as to just what it was that they were so scared of in the very first place any ways. I sighed a bit to my self all at once, as I then all of the sudden nodded to my self a little bit, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to regain a little bit of some sort of control over my self, before I felt like it was safe to speak to the both of them. As I did in fact nod, as it was more of a nod to my self, all at the exact same time too, I then saw that Cole nodded back to me, to let me know that even if he was a little bit afraid, he was in fact listening to me. I was glad for that, as I knew that the question that I needed to ask the both of them was a simple question, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden began to start to speak up to the both of them, now that I knew that the both of them were listening as to just what it was that I even had to say to them, at the exact same time as well.

"What are you guys doing here so early in the morning... You surely must be freezing right now, Sabins place would be a lot safer..." I said to the both of them, as I then saw that the both of them winced, all at the exact same time as well, when I had brought up the name of Sabin, for some odd reason or another. I was a little bit lost as to just why it was that it was the case in the very first place any ways, as it was quite a bit suspicious to me, if I was not going to lie to my self. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time as well, as I did my best to try not to come to any sort of conclusions right at this very moment in time, as I knew that I had just woken up, and my mind was not in the best place right now, as I knew that I would come to a lot of dark assumptions as to just what it was that might have gone on at his place, as it was clear to me that some thing had in fact gone on, all at the exact same time too, just based off of the look on the face of the woman, Amelia, all at the exact same time too.

She was for sure a lot easier to read than Cole, as Cole was quite a bit strange to me, if I was not going to lie to my self. He was big, strong, and smart, bit for some reason he was not the leader. Maybe that was due to the fact that he did not seem to speak all too much. I did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts, all at the exact same time too, as I was once again doing what it was that I was trying not to do, which was the fact that I was coming to conclusions, and I did not know either of these people at all, not one single bit either, as I then sighed a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then did my best to try to shake off all of those thoughts too from my mind. I felt like I should just come in to this with no sort of mind set, as I should not act any sort of surprised as to just what it was that they were going to say to me in the very first place any ways never the less. Once I did as such a thing, I then all of the sudden lifted my head back up to the both of them, all at the exact same time as well.

I saw that they now had a bit of a blank look on the both of their faces, as it was clear that the both of them did not want to give me any sort of more information than they already had at this point, which I felt like I really could not blame them for, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden got my focus on some thing much different than all of that. I could tell that the both of them were freezing, and I also knew that my home was starting to get quite a bit cold at the exact same time too, as I could see that the both of them were shivering uncontageously all at the exact same time too, as I felt quite a bit bad for the both of them. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all of the sudden, as I knew that if I stood here for any longer, than it meant that my house might freeze up on me. I then made up my mind as to just what it was that I felt like I had to do right now, even if I did not want to do as such a thing, as I still was not all too sure if I could trust either one of them just yet, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.

I had no such sort of other choice, and I felt like, all at the exact same time too, that I really did not have all too much to really fear from them, as it was clear that the both of them were a lot more scared than I was right now for some odd reason or another, which I still had not figured out as to just why it was that it was even the case in the very first place any ways. I sighed a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden got my focus off of all of those thoughts, and I then nodded for the both of them to come in to my home. The both of them happily obliged as soon as I had done so, as first Amelia headed in, and then Cole headed in, as he closed the door behind him thankfully which I was quite a bit grateful for, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden nodded a bit of some thanks to him, which he did not seem to notice all too much, which I felt could be due to a lot of different reasons, one of them being the fact that he just had not seen me, and the other being that he just did not care all too much.

I sighed a bit to my self, as I then got my focus off of all of that, all at the exact same time too, as I then rolled my eyes a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what else it was that I should do right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways. I rolled my eyes just a bit, all of the sudden, as I then got my focus on some thing that was altogether completely different than all of that, as I then all of the sudden saw blood on the both of their shirts, all at the exact same time too, which kind of scared me, and it kind of freaked me out all of the sudden, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden moved back a bit, nearly tripping and falling as I did so. It was clear that the both of them had known all of the sudden that I had seen the blood that they had on their shirts, as I then all of the sudden saw that the both of them now had quite a bit of a guilty look on their face, as they should.

They had killed some one, or at the very least, they had killed some thing, if I had to guess, as it seemed like all of my fears that I had before, were all of the sudden now coming to life, all at the exact same time too. I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do right at this very moment in time, as I then all of the sudden saw that Amelia then lifted her hand up, as it was clear that she was trying to get me to stop with what it was that I was doing right now, which was the fact that I was trying to head over to the back porch so I could try to jump down from there, and hopefully get safe before they could catch up to me. I was not sure if I did in fact want to stop my self where it was that I was standing right now, but after just a little bit longer, for some odd, and very stupid reason or another, I did in fact stop my self, as I then all of the sudden, at the exact same time as well, then tilted my head at her, as I saw her nod to me all of the sudden.

I still was not all too sure about all of it, as I stared at her for just a little bit more time, with quite a bit of a blank look on my own face, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do, nor was I all too sure as to just why it was that I should listen to just what it was that they had to say, and how it was that they could explain as to the reason that the both of them had blood on their shirt right at this very moment in time too. I gulped a bit to my self, as I just stood still for a little bit longer, as I stared at the both of for just a little bit longer, until in the end, I did in fact nod back to the both of them, all at the exact same time too, to let them know that I was in fact, at the very least, paying attention to just what it was that Amelia even had to say to me in the very first place any ways. Once I had done as such a thing, I saw Amelia seem to feel a lot better, all at the exact same time too, as she then began to start to speak to me, not all too much longer after all of that, all at the exact same time as well, and I did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that she even had to say to me in the very first place any ways.

"I know it looks bad... But we can explain what happened there... I promise we are not going to attack you, we would have done that already..." She said to me, as I stared at her with quite a bit of a blank look on my face for just a little while longer, as I was not all too sure as to just how it was that I should react to all of that in the very first place any ways, as I just stood there and stared for quite a bit of some time. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then got my focus off of the blood that was on their shirt, as I began to start to think on just what it was that she had said in the very first place any ways, and how it was that she could possibly explain what it was that had happened, and why she had blood on her shirt. I did in fact kind of believe as to the fact that they were not going to run at me and kill me, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that they would have in fact already done that, if that was in fact to be the case. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I did my best to try to calm my self down just a little bit, all at the exact same time too, as I then began to start to think on just what it was that could have gone on down at Sabins place, for her to have blood on their hands. I could still tell that they were a little bit afraid, so perhaps the government might have attacked them. I was not all too sure as I also knew that right now was not the best time to assume things, as I then shook off all of those thoughts all at once, as I then all of the sudden began to hear Amelia start to speak up to me once again, as I looked at her dead in her eyes, just to make sure she was telling the truth, as I then began to listen as to just what it was that was going on in the very first place any ways. "Your leader, Sabin... He came in to our room in the night, thinking we were asleep, and he attacked us..."
