Mesya's Confusion

The atmosphere of the school was so crowded, the conversations of the teachers sounded so disturbing to Mesya's ears.

Her heart felt uneasy, she thought about the current state of her best friend.

"Zahra must be really sad," said Mesya with teary eyes.

Mesya still looked at the teachers who were talking about Zahra who had just lost her mother.

And suddenly there was someone behind who gently tapped her shoulder.

"Mesya, what are you doing here?" she asked.

That woman is Mesya's homeroom teacher.

"You must be sad too, right, hearing that Zahra lost her mother?" asked Riska. Her homeroom teacher's name is Riska.

"Yes, Mrs. Riska, Mesya is very sad, Mesya wants to meet Zahra, can I come with Mrs. Riska to Zahra's house?"

Riska was silent for a moment.

"Mrs Riska, and the other teachers will go there, right?" Mesya asked again.

"Yeah, right, we're going there, but have you asked your parents for permission, Mesya?" asked Riska.

And Mesya shook her head.

"Well, then Mrs. Riska will talk to Mrs. Arumi that Mesya will come with us," said Riska.

"Thank you, Ma'am," said Mesya who looked happy.

"Yes," answered Riska with a smile and gently stroked Mesya's hair.

Arriving at Zahra's house, Zahra was seen crying over her mother's departure while holding her mother's photo and standing right in front of the coffin.

"Zahra," Mesya called in a low voice.

Zahra also looked at her, "Mesya!" Zahra shouted.

And seeing Mesya's arrival made Zahra a little happy.

"Zahra, Mesya is sad to hear that," said Mesya.

And Zahra was crying again, she immediately hugged her best friend.

"Zahra doesn't have one, Mama again, Mesya!" she says.

"Be patient, Zahra"

"But, what if Zahra misses Mama? Mama can't wake up anymore."

"There is, Mesya." Said someone who suddenly appeared between the two of them.

The two little girls who were embracing immediately looked towards the source of the sound.

"Mother?" said the Mesya.

Arumi smiled at her daughter.

"Mother, here too?" asked the Mesya.

"Earlier, Mrs Riska called Mother, and Mother immediately came here, Mother also want to meet Zahra and her father and convey my condolences," said Arumi with a friendly smile.

And not long after, Zahra's father came to them.

"Good afternoon, Mrs Arumi," said the man.

"Good afternoon Mr Muljito, my family and I are sorry for the death of Mrs Rasty, Zahra's mother," said Arumi.

All of Mesya's friends' parents know Arumi and her family.

Because they are known as successful entrepreneurs who are very rich and generous.

"Mr Muljito, I want to compensate Zahra, accept it," said Arumi while handing a brown envelope containing a wad of money to Muljito, Zahra's father.

"What is this, Mrs Arumi?" asked Muljito.

"Just a little money, and hopefully useful for Zahra," replied Arumi.

Muljito immediately opened the brown envelope.

"Wow, that's a lot!" Muljito was surprised to see him.

And Arumi just smiled faintly in response.

"Sorry Mrs Arumi, this is a lot, I'm not comfortable taking it!" said Muljito.

"That's not much for us, sir, and I give it to Zahra, hopefully, it will be useful for Zahra, especially for her education," said Arumi in a very polite and elegant style.

"But, Mrs—" Muljito handed Arumi the envelope again.

But soon Arumi brushed it off and pushed Muljito's hand to accept the money back.

"I know Mr Muljito's business is bankrupt, I beg you to accept this, and I guarantee that Mr Muljito's business will bounce back with the help of our company," said Arumi.

Finally, Muljito was willing to accept the money.

"Then I received money from Mrs Arumi. And I am very grateful to Mrs Arumi, it's only natural that out there, people praise the goodness of Mrs Arumi's family. Because you and your husband are very generous people," said Muljito.

"Thank you," answered Arumi while bowing for a moment.

"You are like an angel to us," said Muljito once again to Arumi.

"Angel of Death." Arumi chirped.

And for a moment Muljito was silent because he was surprised to hear Arumi's words.

"What do you mean, Mrs

Arumi?" asked Muljito.

"Ah no! I'm just joking, sir," answered Arumi with a small laugh.

"Oh, I see," said Muljito who looked very stiff and awkward.

After giving compensation, Arumi invited Mesya to go home.

And Arumi's presence in the funeral procession seemed to give Muljito a glimmer of hope.

Now he recently went bankrupt and his wife died, but he is now getting a lot of money, and his company is guaranteed to be successful again thanks to the help of the Arumi family.

On the dining table, the dinner menu of various processed meats is neatly arranged.

"Come on, please eat!" said Arumi encouraging the others to have dinner.

"Happy eating, Mom! Happy eating everyone!" Arthur said excitedly.

"This is the meat Daddy just got last night for you!" said Charles proudly.

"Dad, that's so cool, then where did you get it from?" Arthur asked.

"Yes, of course from her house, Zahra!" replied Charles.

And that immediately made Mesya very surprised.

'Zahra's mother died with a dismembered body, and some of the remains of bone without flesh, could it be...?' thought Messiah.

"Mesya... what do you think, honey?" asked Arum.

"This, what meat? Why did Father say it's from Zahra's house, could it be meat—"

"Shh.. don't think about it, Mesya! You must think that we killed Zahra's mother and took her meat, right?" asked Arumi with an unmistakable guess.

And for a moment she was silent.

"No dear! We are not cruel people," said Arumi.

"Even if it's Zahra's mother's flesh, what's wrong?" Arthur said with a laugh.

Instantly Mesya was shocked again and looked at Arthur.

"Arthur, stop joking again!" said Arumi.

Meanwhile, David was seen dropping his fork and knife onto the plate roughly.

Ting!

Instantly everyone looked at him, David.

"I'm done eating, may I go back to my room?!" He asked.

"Please" replied Arum.

David glanced at Mesya for a moment and walked away.

Mesya also looked at David who started to move away.

'David is acting weird and doesn't like talking to us,' thought Mesya.
