Miki froze in wonder slash terror.
It was the face that he had seen in the many photo albums that he had as a family, when everything was normal.
It was only a few. Only a few they kept of her. The ones that when Miki was younger he had seen but never talked about.
That one secret that was supposed to remain silent and unheard.
And now it was unfolded in front of Miki's eyes.
"He recognizes you...." Miki heard Kierlyn say.
"Yes, why, I do too." The older woman tapped her lips.
Miki closed his eyes fro two seconds, taking it all in. And then he froze again. He knew the answer. The mystery of the girl in the photo albums no one knew.
"You're....." Miki stuttered.
"Yes, it's me. It's me, Miki," his lost older sister.
"How'd you...." Miki said, small tears shedding from his eyes. "They said you died from drowning....."
"I'm here. No, this nice boy helped me. We lived together." His sister's eyes sprung with happy tears.
"And you had your own...." Miki choked on words.
"Yes, and this is my son's child." Her voice lulled in tears. "He died, and now I live with her."
"I'm so sorry..." He said.
"No, no I have you and Kierlyn. We're all happy. And Mom, and Dad, and oh, how I missed Akito." She clutched her heart happily.
Miki shook his head, his face drenched in tears. "No.... they're gone..."
His sister gasped. "No. No, no. No. Your all alone...?..."
Miki I nodded solemnly. "Yes....."
"I-I didn't know..... I'm sorry, I would've gone to find you, but I can't leave Astro's body."
Miki almost started sobbing. There were too many deaths. It wasn't fair. His sister's own love of her life was gone, the only thing left from him his son's daughter.
"We have to find Maron." She whispered. "Kierlyn, go find the supplies."
Kierlyn nodded quickly.
"He'll help us with the finding Mscilly."
Miki stiffened. His sister saw.
She soon put a hand on his shoulder. "I had the same dream. All of us did."
Miki nodded.
His sister patted him on the back and sighed, ready to get up the cliff and away from it for the first time in seven years.
