Dalla's P.O.V
I looked around the airport in awe following the other members to go pick up our luggage.
"Dalla did you get everything?" Trish asks coming up next to me with her own luggage in hand. I smile in reply. walking to the outside. It was at least nine and the sun was hot burning my skin. I looked over to the bus waiting for us. I walk first seeing as I was the one who had to deal with all the technicalities.
"Hello I'm Dalla King." I say lending my hand to shake. The big man shakes my hand looking into my eyes. I felt small as I stood next to him going over every thing. When I was finished I told the others to pack their things into the van and waiting for them to file in. There were nine of us total. It felt surreal as I finally entered. The door closed and made sure once again everyone was there. I knew they all were more responsible than I was but I was chosen as the manager and it was my duty to look after them. I wasn't going to lie when I said it felt weird. It took us an hour to get to our hotel and by then the jet lag was eating away at each one of us. I was glad we didn't have anything scheduled for tonight. The starting ceremony was going to be tomorrow night. We'd be staying three weeks in each state. Now that I thought about it I'd be away for more than a year. Maybe even two. I sat by myself the other members engaging in conversation with each other. I took out my tablet once more and plugged in my earphones but this time instead of falling asleep I look at the schedule I'd placed onto my tablet to remind me.
I'd have to get my license in America and then sign into to school all today. So there was no chance of me falling asleep.
"Mrs. King this is you're stop." The big man who'd I learned the name was John wick. I my bag and begin to leave.
"Dalla I'll take your bags with me for when you return." Sherry says and I nod. I was going to get my license first. I'd been studying hard and the only thing I was skeptical about was parallel parking. I stepped down the stairs and walked towards the building. I was going to need a license for the cars I'd be using to go to school.
By the time both the driving test and written tests were over I was given a day to come back with my paperwork. It was amazing how fast it was going to be processed.
I was glad that the school I'd be attending was going to just be five blocks away. I walked in the entrance to the school. I looked around for few minutes before I walked in and saw the sign on a door that said principle's office and I knocked. A nice female voice said to open and I do so.
"Hello you must be Dalla King, it's nice to meet you. Although it's going to be a short time with us I hope you'll enjoy yourself here." She says with a sweet smile. I was taken on a tour to learn about where the classes and other areas of the school would be. It was huge took at least two hours to finally get back to the principal's office. she gave me my schedule and I looked at it happily. I had everything I wanted to do on it. Biology, chemistry, physics, PE, information technology and home Ed, were written clearly for me to see. Math and English were compulsory.
"I can't wait to see you starting Thursday." She says smiling once more. It annoyed me how much she smiled you could tell it was fake. By the time I exited the bell rings. I dashed towards the door as quick as I could trying not to be spotted by any students until Thursday which was two days away.
I found the tour bus there waiting for me. John opens the door and I smile as I get in greeting him once more.
"Is everyone settled?" I asked. He nods and takes me to the hotel.
I sign in an get my room key. I was actually surprised that I was going to be given my own room. I guess the other members wanted me to have my privacy. I walked to the elevator to see Cameron waiting there.
"You're back." He says getting up from sitting on the floor.
"How long were you waiting?" I questioned.
"And hour or so." He says like it wasn't a big deal. I tried to contain my shock but failed miserably.
"Thanks but aren't you tired?" I questioned calling the elevator to us. It came in a few minutes and we step in.
"I should be asking you that question." he says as he presses the floor number.
"I'll be fine." I say not wanting to alert him. In truth I was barely standing up. He glances at me and I can tell he doesn't believe me but the elevator pings signaling that we'd gotten to the floor. We step out and begin walking towards my room when I remembered Sherry had my luggage. I look through my phone at the room assignments and see hers. She was next to me and so was Cameron. When I reach her door I knock on it while I look over at Cameron as he unlocks his door and walk in. After a few seconds Sherry's door opens and she smiles letting me in. The balcony instantly peeked my interest as I looked around. She had a white couch in the living room which is over purple carpet. There is a glass coffee in front of it with a few magazines compliments of the hotel. There is a small kitchen next to the entrance which is being barriered by a counter top. There a door next to that which I assume is the bathroom. I Look over to my luggage and thank her and collect it.
"Make sure you get rest," She tells me and I nod heading out and into my own room which looked similar to hers. I wasted no time in showering in cold water and jumping into my bed. I didn't care that I was naked. The sleep was consuming me and I willingly gave in.
