"Shit we need to escape quickly," I said while panicked

Ava then quickly replied, "We can escape from the back window of the kitchen" I quickly replied, "let's go"

As we were leaving the house the zombies barged inside and noticed us and a swarm of them chased us, I quickly grabbed her hand and ran away from the house, after running for a long time they suddenly stopped chasing after us.

"Huff-huff it looks like they are not chasing us anymore," I said while panting heavily"Huff-huff Yeah I hope so" Ava also replied panting

Suddenly there was a sound which alerted Ava and said, "Are there more of them here" I blushed and scratched my head and said, "uh these voices are coming from my stomach because I didn't eat anything" she then smiled softly.

It was so embarrassing that I thought I would die, we both then chatted for some time while eating canned food, and continued on our journey.

As we traveled some more Ava took out her phone to look at what time it is [The time was 4:15 pm] she then said" It's so hot traveling in this summer, maybe we should stop by at a store. I want to change my clothes"

I added "Yeah let's do that I'm sweating like a sprinkler " we then saw a supermarket nearby.

At first sight, it was too quiet there were pieces of glass on the floor I said to ava to wait and told her to let me check if it is safe inside, I took a peek inside the store but there was no one.

I then told her that, "Looks like no one is inside, let's change quickly and get out of here. We still have some time left before it gets dark " she then replied ok.

I told her to pick whichever clothes she likes and change in the dressing room she was a bit hesitant at first but I told her that we are not stealing as the world is not like it was till now.

She then picked up a top and a black jacket and jeans, while she was changing I picked up some stuff like binoculars, few spare knives, a lighter and an extra bag, and some food supply like some chocolates, canned food, and some bottles of drinking water which can be fitted inside.
