I have this habit from a long time ago, asking my parents to buy me gaming sets. As a teen, I was never a child my parents ever wanted, always giving pain and forcing them to waste their moneys on unnecessary things such as games, brand new gaming consoles which might have costed over a thousand. That was because I always tried to be like my classmates and friends, they had so many games and such brand new gaming consoles, so I tried to be like them. "Hey! We bought this new game, wanna try it out with us?" they said this just a few minutes ago and suddenly, "No, we are not inviting you to my house! You are damn poor, come to us when you have at least a thousand dollar!".
They humiliated me in public, in front of everyone, "Dude, you have the guts to talk to us like that! Do you know who my father is, huh?" they threatened me, black-mailing me that they would tell on me to their parents cause they were in a higher rank than my parents. I couldn't say anything cause a poor person obviously does not have the rights to talk back at rich people like them. This is not a story where a boy gets a friend who is in a similar state like me, I was totally alone like as if I was thrown to the den of wild lions. But, soon, I got this idea from depression...
An idea to force my parents to buy me gaming sets and gaming console or whatever I want. Slowly, my addiction grew bigger and bigger as if a tumor was growing. "Mom, I need this new gaming set I saw online, can you please purchase it for me?" I asked and left. And from that time onwards, I was known very rich and the most popular guy in my high school life. A huge amount of girls were always lurking behind me, but was respect ever there for me at home, the main source of life?
Walking in and walking out,
A rain of people was always there,
Without any doubt.
"Oh um hey! We are so sorry for what we have done when we were younger! Can we be friends again?" "Yeah, we are very sorry about that time!--" "Sorry, I don't talk to people who regret what they did after they had injured their opponent already." I replied with so much pride.
One day, my parents bought me this new gaming set on my 18th birthday. "Our dearest son, we want to gift you this new gaming set. Today is the day you turn into an adult, so why not gift you something? We couldn't even arrange a party for you in your birthday this year. In your teen life, all you did was to beg us to buy you new games but we never bought anything by ourselves, so here is this new gaming set we bought for you!" I stared at the gaming set as they were still holding it with their smile which looked very fake. I took the gaming set box and head to my bed room.
"Hm? This looks quite fishy.... Okay, let's see what taste my parents have." I said with suspicion. I had completely unboxed the gaming set, and I saw these odd looking gaming controls which I had never seen before. "What!? Did my parents just-just.... April fool me at the month of March!? What are these eye lenses!?" I hesitated to touch the controls but at one point, I did have to anyway.
I lifted the thing inside the box a little and tried to set it up with my computer, but do you think eye lenses can be plugged into computers? It was quite difficult for me to find out the way of it's use. I was about to give up on this but however, I found out the way to use it, you know, how you put on eye lenses? I know that sounds super weird but believe me, that was what it was! I tried to look through it but I didn't find anything interesting inside them. I was quite upset and was just trying to calm myself down as the eye lenses were laying on the floor. "I can't believe it! My own parents just fooled me!?" I itched my back and sat down, thinking of if I should try the lenses out.
"Should I try the lenses out?" I questioned myself sitting down and was pointing my index finger at my chin. I took the lenses and stared at them, hesitating to put them on. I just put them on and closed my eyes instantly. I slowly opened my eyes and you know what, nothing happened and everything was the same, nothing changed. I looked into the mirror and saw myself but I didn't look carefully at it. "Oh wow! I thought something magical would happen, but seems like I am safe! Stupid eye lenses! But, at least I look cool on those green eye lenses!" I tried to open them off but they weren't opening. I looked a little closer to myself, and realized there was a small menu button beside my neck, so I was very confused if that was my depressing imagination or if it was real. I was moving around and trying to see if it was real or not. It was real and I was shocked for my own good. I tried to click it but it wasn't working or probably I was not clicking it the right way. I clicked it once again and a drop-down list appeared which had only one option saying 'More'. So I just clicked it cause I thought nothing would happen, but more options appeared. A navigation started which said me to zoom in by putting my index finger and thumb together in the middle of the mirror and then expand my fingers. I did as the navigator told me to and it zoomed in! I couldn't see anything from the corner of my eyes, the drop-down list became full eye length after I zoomed in.
