Potential Of A Diversion

Chapter 195: Potential Of A Diversion

Elsewhere.

While the Minotaur and the witch were busy dealing with the lightning representation of Lord Monsoon, April was being dragged into the woods, far from the road where the others were.

"What do you mean you are Junk? It doesn't make any sense!" The elvish beauty desperately tried to fight back, but she, unfortunately, no longer carried her emerald bow. She dropped it earlier on the road.

The man, who she thought was greatly injured, walked around and dragged her deeper and deeper into the woods without any trouble. The man was strong. Much stronger than her. There was something inhuman about him. Normally, April would have been much stronger than a regular town man such as him, but not in this case, which caught her by surprise. Almost as surprised as she was when the man first began moving like he had no injury and attacked her. April was so far away from her friends that she could no longer see nor hear them. She felt exiled from her party and that made her feel worried about what was going to happen to her next. But that didn't mean she was going to give up now.

She suddenly and successfully elbowed the man in the chest, and it freed her. She ran and she ran away from him. Her goal being to make it back to the others as soon as possible. But not only that. She couldn't wait to retrieve the emerald bow that her Minotaur friend kindly forged her and to shoot that man who attempted to take her away right in the face. However, as she ran toward the path where she was dragged, she was shocked to discover the same man, standing in front of her again. This guy was down on the ground and behind her as second or two again. How did he make it there so far? Did he teleport himself?

"How did you do this?" April questioned him.

"I tried running away…" the previously injured and drunk town's man told her.

"What are you talking about right now?" she asked him. And then, instead of answering her question, the man changed before her eyes. He transformed himself. The human turned into a perfect copy of Junk. He turned into a tall and hulking Minotaur.

"Junk? This can't be true. How did you do this?" she asked.

"I just told you. I can become anyone I want," he repeated.

"Anyone? But who are you really?" she questioned him.

"I'm you…" he then swiftly changed into a perfect copy of April. The real April cocked her head. It was almost as if she was looking into a mirror. It was her. "... This can't be real…" she said. April had met shape-shifters before, but never one that knew so much about her and Junk. Naturally, April was always feeling much safer with her big boy, Junk around. But the fact that this strange shape-shifter knew that and that it was toying with her that way in the woods made her incredibly uncomfortable to say the least.

"You're right. It can be surreal, at times," then, the imitation of April changed something about her body. She augmented the size of her breasts. She made her witness some boob expansion. Something that made her blush as it slowly unfolded.

"I don't mind the bigger breasts. If I could have them."

"If I could give them to you and make yours bigger, I would. Trust me. You deserve the best and only the best, April," he told her.

"Who are you? You know us. You know me. What do you want from me?" April felt a bit less in danger now that the two were able to have a conversation with one another. She still had so many questions for the shape-shifter. Why hide and only reveal itself to be a shape-shifter at the worst time possible? While everyone was in danger. This was exactly what made April worried the most.

"We met before…" then, the creature changed form again. This time, his true form. An elemental one. The creature was green.

April was able to recognize him almost right away. He was the green tea elemental creature they met at the cottage house of the Morgan Marsh some time ago. He disappeared after a thorough confrontation with September and the rest of the squad. April was confronted with him again. But this time, she was on her own. April was shocked. She trembled. She had no idea what to do at first. She wasn't prepared for this. She highly considered running away from him, but ultimately didn't do it. She stayed. Deep down in her, she thought that there was perhaps a shred of chance that he wasn't here to hurt her.

"You. You disappeared after we defeated you," she said.

"That's right. I am not done with you. All of you."

"You kind of decided to show up at the worst time."

"At the perfect time, you mean. There is nothing that you will be able to do against me. The beast and the witch are occupied with the overlord. You are mine," the green elemental told her.

"What do you want from us, exactly?" she demanded.

"You invaded the home of my master. You ruined everything and then left me behind as I was dying. I want you to never forget me," the shape-shifting creature said as he rushed at her and knocked her out. Everything I saw afterwards was pure darkness.

When April woke up, she was alone into the woods. It could easily have been an hour after she was confronted with the green tea elemental.

Feeling freed, April stormed out of the woods and reunited with Junk and September.

But when she got there, she found out that her best friend wasn't doing too well, unfortunately.

He was dying.
