Chapter 242: Monster Showdown
"It's too late!" Lord Monsoon announced as the demon knight did everything he could to dash between the pig and his girls.
Time was against him.
To be fair, everything was placed against him. Everyone at the village was involved in this. Whether they wanted it or not. The point was that the only one who could stop this from happening and save the village was no other than Junk. There was him and him alone, but there was just one, little problem… Junk wasn't a hero. He was a slave. He was a beast that had been unleashed onto the world, and he wasn't stronger than Lord Monsoon was. The only thing he truly had going for him was the fact that he was happy to no longer be a slave and that he had a mission: Protecting September, his Witch Queen, at all cost. Always and forever.
I can do it! I can do it! I can stop this bastard! Junk mentally encouraged himself as he was dashing forward. He could observe Lord Monsoon playing with his cursed four balls of light, which represented the four Seasonal tribes, which united the world.
The demon knight had to stop him from uniting the four different shades of magic before he could harness their mysterious powers. So little time… Yet, he was almost there… Junk almost reached his position. Meanwhile, Lord Monsoon was literally laughing in his face. Mocking him. The four balls of light enter into collision with one another. A bubble of electricity and death light surrounded the balls and their current holder. Monsoon might have been right this entire time: Was it too late? Was it over?
As soon as the bubble of death light was fully shaped, the demon knight finally entered into physical contact with his enemy. The clash of the alpha beasts at the witch village had finally arrived. Bursts of lightning everywhere at the center of the village. The innocent people watching had to move out of the way to save themselves, but most of them didn't have enough time to do so. It was up to him to save them. It was up to him to save everybody. Even though the lightning was moving incredibly fast in the air, he hoped that he could still make it happen and save them.
I have to save them otherwise… They are all dead!
"Demon Knight Shockwave!" Junk aggressively shouted the name of his next move, and swung his huge battle ax on the ground, therefore, instantly creating a massive shockwave. The earthquake moved everybody surrounding the area and caused them to not be touched by the deadly lightning powers caused as side effects of making the four balls of light collide with one another. The Halloween knight managed to save everybody right before it was too late.
"Um? He was somehow able to stop me from killing everybody?" Lord Monsoon asked himself out loud as all of this unfolded. Everything happened so quickly. Distracted, the hardworking demon knight used this perfect opportunity to move up to the swine overlord and swing at him with his battle ax, hitting him right in the chest while he wasn't looking. As soon as he performed this strong and sudden move, the bubble of light began fading away.
One… Two… Three… Four!
The demon knight was now officially face-to-face with the swine overlord. Junk, the former slave, versus Lord Monsoon. Junk's battle ax sliced Monsoon's chest in half.
He hit him! The tide was turning. Finally, some sort of success for Junk. Blood erupted out of the scar in his chest. The tall swine creature roared and then squealed in pain. He took a step back. Junk was gaining some ground at the center of the village. Now, the demon knight was the one who stood between two of the most important women in his life, September and her younger sister, Bridget. Not Monsoon.
"Witch Queen… And the other Witch Queen…"
"Cursed worm!" Lord Monsoon called Junk while in rage.
"Witch Queens. I'm here. I've come to rescue you."
"Junk… He's draining my powers…" September whispered.
"He's doing the same thing to me, as well… Bridget admitted.
"Do you still have any strength left to fight back?" The demon knight was fully prepared to do anything in his power to bring these two spell casters back on their feet, so everything came back to normal as soon as possible in the village. But for that, he had to defeat Monsoon first, and it wasn't going to be easy, at all.
"I'm nearly out of magic…" Bridget blushed. She even moaned a bit as she felt more of her magical powers getting drained out of her body and spirit because of the four balls of light. Lord Monsoon might have been dealt with for now, with him forced to step back a bit, but he was not going to stay back for too long. He was, indeed, coming back. Sooner or later, he'd strike back.
"Thanks to the wicked powers residing in our village and my milk reserve in my tits, I feel more powerful and resilient than ever. I still have some vitality left in me, but I'm not going to last for very long… You have to do something for us… You have to save us…" September was as transparent as ever. She was honest when she said that they were in trouble and that they requested his support. Now, more than ever. The demon knight had to live up to their expectations.
"That's good. Looks like these four balls have enchanted you into these prisons. I'll do whatever I need to do to save you! Just tell me what I need to do, and I'll do it," Junk shouted.
"This is going to be a lot of fun," Monsoon interrupted him.
"How so, bastard?" The two polar opposite forces collided.
"You have fifteen minutes left to free them. If you don't, they'll be doomed with nothing left. I'll be watching. It'll be like a game," the swine monster explained to him right before suddenly vanishing in a cloud filled with lightning he had just recently summoned.
One second, he was there, the other, he was gone.
The countdown has begun.
