Wang Clan Smithing Shop

Wang Ying looked at Jiang Chen. She was surprised to see a handsome young man. She thought that she had never seen him before in the inner city.

After looking at Jiang Chen, she looked at the attendant and asked, "What's the problem here?"

Seeing that the Wang clan's young miss had arrived, the attendant quickly explained, "Young miss, the young man here is to cause trouble,"

Jiang Chen frowned upon hearing the attendant, but he chose not to say a word as he waited for this young woman, what she was going to say.

"You... I'm not asking whether he's here causing trouble or not, I'm asking what's happening here and how did you know that he is causing trouble!" Wang Ying berated the attendant.

"Young Miss, It's as if this young guy pretended to buy a sword, but when he saw the price, he quickly tried to make excuses, and then he requested a stronger weapon, even though our sword is already the greatest in the eastern city. I'm sure he is just pretending and he'll spread tales about how awful our weapon is." The attendant quickly clarified, but he just said what he believed exaggeratedly.

Wang Ying scowled and questioned Jiang Chen, "Is it true?"

"Young miss, Of course, it's true, "the attendant said, although she had not asked him.

"Shut up, I'm not asking you!" Wang Ying shouted at the attendant. Then she glances at Jiang Chen again, wanting to confirm what the attendants are saying.

Jiang Chen shakes his head and says, "It's true, I came here to look for a strong weapon, but I didn't come here to cause problems."

"How can I be sure you're not lying?" Wang Ying said, her gaze drawn to Jiang Chen.

To be able to stay cool despite being accused, he must be highly confident in either backing or strength. Wang Ying pondered as she looked at him.

"Hmmm, how about this?" Jiang Chen unsheathed his sword from his waist and presented it to Wang Ying.

Wang Ying inspects the sword while holding it.

This sword is rusted from blood and has several dents on the blade, indicating that it has been used in battle for a long time. Wang Ying pondered.

Then she noticed an ancient inscription on the blade, half of which had already disappeared.

Wang Ying works as a blacksmith. Even though she is not yet considered an expert, she does have some understanding of inscriptions since, as a blacksmith, they would be interested in an inscription as long as it is connected to blacksmithing.

Wang Ying couldn't help but exclaim when she spotted the old inscription: "Is this an ancient inscription? Where did you get this?"

"Young miss, don't believe this young man, his sword might be counterfeit," the attendant said.

"Didn't I tell you to shut up?...get out of here!!" Wang Ying reprimanded him, yelling.

Wang Ying returned his gaze to Jiang Chen when the servant had gone.

"Hmm, I got it on the black market?" Jiang Chen was perplexed, as she was anxious to know. He didn't mind telling her the truth.

"Black market?" Wang Ying echoed the term, unaware that such a location existed in the Eastern Grey.

"Is that enough proof to prove I'm not guilty?" Jiang Chen casually stated.

Wang Ying nodded, seeing the sword in her hand, which might even be sold for more than the weapon offered at the store if it was in excellent condition.

Wang Ying returned the sword to Jiang Chen and then said, "Although we do not have a weapon that can equal your sword, if you like, I can restore the sword to its original condition. However, I cannot restore the ancient inscription that has already faded. since I'm not sure what ancient language is written on it"

Wang Ying may be able to recognize the ancient inscription, but she is unable to understand what is written on it because the ancient language has long been lost in the world. except in God's Land.

Jiang Chen felt it was an excellent idea after hearing Wang Ying's suggestion since Wang Clan is the best weapon store and he might not be able to get a decent sword anyplace else in Eastern Grey City.

Jiang Chen agreed and said, "Is it feasible for me to observe how to repair my sword?"

Wang Ying scowled when she heard him, but seeing Jiang Chen's innocent expression, she didn't become angry; instead, she cautioned him.

"Didn't you know it's against the rules to look at other people's techniques, especially when it comes to smithing?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize there was such a rule." Jiang Chen immediately apologized.

"Now that you know, just come back when it's done," Wang Ying said as she re-grabbed the blade and waved Jiang Chen away. She also said it would be finished in two days.

Jiang Chen wished Wang Ying farewell and resumed his wanderings about the city. Although he wanted to go home, he thought that he would just be interfering with his women's cultivation if he went, so he stayed.

Jiang Chen eventually chose to go hunting outside the city. He headed to the northern exit, which is exclusively accessible to residents of the inner city.

When he arrived, he observed a group of people encouraging others to go hunting with them, and while he was going, a man approached him and stated,

"Brother, we just need one more person before we can go hunting; do you want to join us?"

Jiang Chen turns to face the man who had just tried to recruit him. In addition to the man himself, he was accompanied by another man and two ladies.

"Brother Liu! Why are you inviting a child to our party? He may simply be a burden later on when we hunt and look at him. He doesn't even have a weapon or armor. Are you intending to babysit him?" Su Shen stated that she does not agree with Liu Kang's decision to let Jiang Chen join their hunt.

Jiang Chen was simply listening to them, even though he had no plans to join a hunting club. He was merely curious about the strength of an inner-city hunter who travels outside to hunt beasts. But, considering that they are merely the peaks of the gathering realm, and Liu Kang looks to be in the initial tier of the Foundation realm, he lost interest.

Because they were using a modified cultivation Manual, Jiang Chen thought the people in this realm really had a low cultivation realm.

Jiang Chen felt glad for the chance to meet Nana and travel to the Land of Gods, where he was able to obtain a cultivation manual that related to his bloodline. If not, he might also be stuck or cultivating slowly.

"My mistake, haha. I was a little desperate since we'd been waiting here since the morning and none of the hunters wanted to join us." Liu Kang laughed it off, believing he made a mistake in inviting Jiang Chen, who appears to be a weak brat.

"Sorry about that young man. It looks like I made a mistake." Liu Kang apologized to Jiang Chen as he walked off to find another person.
