Yuuya finished shower in just five minutes. He tied a white, fluffy towel around his lean waist. He used another one to wipe out his naked upper body, which glistened with residual water. His long and slender legs sauntered lazily to his bed, where his uniform is laid, waiting for the owner to pick them up.
The droplet of water rolling down from his sharp jawline, trailing onto his well-defined abdominal muscle before it disappears into his damp towel. His body is not too buff and not too thin. He had a fit, muscular, and athletic body with a healthy complexion. However, Yuuya is always wearing a loose uniform to hide his drooling physique. His motto is basically to live quietly every single day until his graduation day.
A tough, domineering dragon tattoos encircling his body, from his sturdy chest to the back of his lean waist. The scales are drawn exquisitely with intricate and delicate detail. Once glance, anyone will back out after seeing such a perfect yet scary handiwork. They probably lamented inside their hearts, people with such tattoos is a mafia boss or in some yakuza organization. It's not entirely wrong. Yuuya is an unbridled guy with wild and unruly characteristics during his middle school years. No one could imagine that such a quiet and nerd student is actually-
Yuuya looked at his reflection on the body-length mirror. A pair of amethyst irises sharply staring back at him flashed with uncertainty and doubt. He ruefully ruffled his damp, messy hair.
He had short, black hair with a pair of violet orbs and a sharp jawline. His lush eyelashes languidly flutter over his limpid eyes. His skin is smooth, and yet, the color is pale white. There's a scar on his left sword-like eyebrow. The scar trace is not visible unless you are staring deeper at his face.
Yuuya stood at 1.81 cm. His towering figure coupled with his handsome visage could enthrall anyone in just a single glance. Girls will flock around him, gazing at him with glittering eyes had he showing off his dazzling countenance. However, Yuuya did not. He keeps a low-key appearance with a messy hairstyle.
His bangs drooped over his eyes, covering half of his face. He also hid and shielded his pair of alluring irises behind ordinary black-rimmed glasses, giving off an impression of an apathetic, aloof, and nerd student. He tried his best to diminish his sense of presence, blending in the surrounding. It's enough if his classmate remembers him as an ordinary student, Tamaki Yuuya.
Yuuya took out his lens case from a drawer beside his bed. He opens the lid and started his usual routine. The case contains a pair of ordinary contact lens, which is black. He put the lens onto his pupils, hiding the exquisite color of violet orbs. Yuuya blinked his eyes several times, adapting his eyes to the sudden intrusion of the contact lens.
The irises perfectly blend within the black color. Yuuya snatched his uniform and started buttoning his white shirt. The pants and tie soon followed. He tidies up his uniform and once again checked his flawless appearance in the mirror. He nodded his head, muttering "Good." under his breath.
Satisfaction plastered all over his face. He barely cleans the mess inside his room before walking over toward the door.
He didn't forget to take his bag above the stool as he strode out of his room, and at the same time, locking up his door. The door slammed in a faint thud sound.
-------
Tamaki Yuuya is not a native of this town. He appeared out of nowhere in this town three years ago, alone without a parent or guardian. He bought a house in the outskirt of the city. Yuuya settled in quietly without causing unnecessary havoc or chaos.
"Good morning, aunt Leila." Yuuya greeted his neighbor, a kind, love-to-smile old lady that treated Yuuya as well as her treating her son. She had a soft spot over this quiet, easy-going young man. Her tender mother's heart flickered in worry seeing the other young man is living alone without an adult supervising him.
"Going to school? What about your breakfast?"
Her voice is laden with worry, and the woman is attentively sizing up the boy from head to toe. Yuuya is as fit as a fiddle. His skin had a healthy luster color and fair complexion. Yuuya's lips are tugging into a smile.
"Thanks for your concern, aunt Leila. I already eat." He politely replied.
Aunt Leila nodded her head. She waves at the boy as Yuuya strode out of his house gate, hands inside his pockets, and casually walked over the usual stone-paved road leading to the school.
His residential area is around 500 meters from the school. He loves to walk while enjoying the gentle morning breeze and basking under the soothing sunlight. He is inhaling and exhaling his breath, thoroughly relishing the tranquility of the scenic morning atmosphere.
"Tamaki-san?" A crisp voice, laces with amusement, greeted him.
Yuuya turned his head, only to hooked his eyes with the new student from yesterday. He politely bowed his head, giving him a slight smile.
"Ren, isn't it?"
Ren nodded his head. They both started to walk again, side by side, toward the school.
"Tamaki-san..."
"You can call me Yuuya."
Ren pursed his lips momentarily and spoke again.
"Are you from here?"
"Me? No. I moved into this city three years ago. My hometown is on another state." Yuuya replied. His eyes focused on the road, although, sometimes, discreetly, he glanced beside him, observing his new classmate.
Ren is as taller as him, maybe a little over an inch or two than him, and he had a pair of silver irises. Not the usual grey or eerie white eyes, but they brilliantly sparkle like the luster of a diamond. He might only imagine this scene, however beneath those clear and glassy eyes, glints of red flicker around as he throws his profound gazes over the faraway mountain. His smooth forehead had several black lines, and he unconsciously sucked out his teeth as if he is holding back something down below his throat.
Ren is the picture of health. The skin is milky white, glowing under the sunlight. With his dazzling visage, a dimpled smile, and pleasant vibe shimmering around his body, Ren is easily approachable and welcoming anyone to befriend him. Ren also had a lean and fit body, with his pants outlining his long and slender legs. He didn't seem the type to waste his time outside due to his pale complexion. Instead, he gives you the impression of a young master or maybe a pampered prince who holed up inside his palace, never basking under the light.
Yuuya frowned as he realized something.
Ren's shoulders seemed tense, and he balled his fists tight enough that his knuckles turned whiten. He looked relaxed just a moment ago, yet now his hackles raise and his vigilance spur out.
"Ren? What's wrong?"
Ren snapped back from his reverie. He is surprised when Yuuya looked at him in confusion. Yuuya gestured toward his balled knuckles.
"Are you worry about something? Why would you look as if you will enter a battlefield instead of going to school?"
Ren swooped over his fists, slowly relaxing his stance. He stiffly chuckles.
"Nothing. I inadvertently remember my argument with someone. And, Haha..." He awkwardly tried to shift Yuuya's inquiring eyes from his face.
Yuuya didn't question further. They are a stranger. He probably being a busybody by probing into Ren's matter.
They enter the school gate alongside the other students. The school compound is filled with people, bustling with chatters and peals of laughter.
Ren once again looked behind his back, his eyebrows frowning in distaste. He halted his steps. Yuuya also stops, and he tilted his head, mentally thinking, what is Ren doing? His eyes followed Ren's gazes. Yet, he found nothing abnormal nor interesting that warrant anyone's attention except the crowding of the rest of the students, flooding the school area.
Ren is staring at something beyond the school gate. He brings his right hand over his mouth and muttering something under his breath. His index finger lightly flicks a faint glow of invisible paper charm toward the gate, which speedily flies above the borderline, hovering around for a while and an intricate word shines out in red color.
The paper charm vigorously burned in blue light, and a blinding silver light soon burst out. The light is shrouding this specific area for a moment. A mournful howl suddenly reverberating in the background, and a smoldering, charred figure dropped onto the ground. It is unknown what is the actual appearance of the creature is. Slowly, the disfigure creature dispersed like ash scattered by the wind.
Yuuya ignored Ren's strange behavior. Maybe, if he and Ren are closer enough to be called buddy, he will be asked him. He approached the insipid boy and patting his shoulder. Ren is startled with then sudden nudge on his shoulder.
"What are you doing? It's almost eight, silly."
"Oh."
Yuuya shook his head and moved forward. Ren is trailing behind him, scratching his nape in a strained manner.
