Chapter 10

Ever since Lucinda had come to meet Alana she was nervous about the whole party planning thing. It had been only two days but she was just anxious and she looked at Blaire only to find her looking at space and smiling to herself.

"Earth to Blaire." She said snapping her fingers.

"Huh! What?" Blaire said almost jumping out of her chair.

"What's happening to you these days and am pretty sure it's not work. I think it's that mystery guy from the elevator. Who is he by the way? You never got the chance to tell me."

Blaire blushed on hearing Lana say that. It all felt surreal to her. She had a mate.

"Blaire will you tell me already I wanna know."

"Okay I will."

****FLASHBACK****

As Blaire was about to leave the elevator her mate held her hand.

"Lana." Blaire called out to Lana who was already a few steps ahead of her. Lana hadn't noticed that Blaire had remained.

"Yeah." She stopped looking back.

"You will find me downstairs. I um have to talk to..."

"It's okay sis talk to him, I bet you have a lot of catching up to do." Alana said looking at them still holding hands and smiled to herself and left the two behind.

They got into the elevator and when they were midway Lorenzo stopped it.

"I am Lorenzo King and what's my beautiful mate's name."

"Blaire Rosewell."

"Never in a million years did I ever think I will find my mate but instead you found me."

"What do you mean?" Blaire asked him.

"I am almost 27 now and you know that we meet our mates at 16."

"Owh." "So you waited for me." Blaire asked him.

"You know how we Lycans are....."

"Wait a minute did you just say Lycan?" Blaire cut him off before he could finish what he was about to say and pushed him away from her using her powers.

"And my suspicions were right you are a witch."

"You are a Lycan?" Blaire said again clearly shocked because their history said that Lycans were extinct. The elevator started moving again and she wanted to get away from the elevator as soon as possible and go faraway from Lorenzo as possible.

When it stopped she ran away leaving Lorenzo still smiling at himself like a lovestruck idiot. He found his mate cute and let her go to give her sometime.

***End of Flashback***

"You mean to tell me that you went to school with Lorenzo King?" Alana was finding this hard to believe.

"Huh!" Blaire said confused.

"You had said that you went to Preschool together back at the elevator." Alana said looking at her.

"Owh yes we did." Blaire said mentally slapping herself for almost selling herself out.

"But you looked more like lovers than schoolmates. I saw some hot chemistry there." Blaire looked at Alana when she said that.

A part of her wanted to tell Alana the truth but she couldn't and she hoped that someday she will tell her as she hated lying to her.

"Alana just mind your business."

"Owh My, you are even blushing. Blaire Rosewell what's happening to you."

"Well if you must know, he's taking me on a date on Friday."

"What!" Alana said screaming.

"Yes" Blaire said blushing again.

"Am happy for you and good luck sis."

Alana looked at the time and saw that it was time to go to Mrs King's house regarding the party.

"I almost forgot, are you coming with me to Mrs King's house."

"No." She said that so fast that Alana laughed.

"Okay then, let me love you and leave you." She gave Blaire a kiss and left. She drives for a whole twenty minutes and it was a long straight road and she had left the town as there weren't any buildings but now forestry.

She just went on with the directions she had been given until she saw buildings from afar and a very big house, more like a mansion and she went to that house.

The security in that house was seriously on another level. There were CCTV cameras everywhere and guards inside and outside the gate. Others were patrolling around.

Alana drove in the house and a security check up was done on her. Mrs King was phoned by one of the guards to confirm Alana's appointment. They allowed her inside and Alana drove in.

She parked her car and went to the door and rang the intercom. The door opened.

"Alana!"

Alana looked up to see the person who had just called her name. She looked familiar but Alana couldn't remember where she met her.

"It's me Indigo." Indigo looked so surprised and happy to see her.

"Oh My God Indigo, Hie!" Alana hugged Indigo she couldn't believe that it was her. All those years she kept on thinking about how Indigo was doing as they had forgotten to share their contact details.

"Come in, come in." Indigo ushered Alana in.

"So what brings you here?" Indigo asked her offering her some refreshments.

"I came here for business. I have a meeting with Mrs King."

"Owh let me call mom for you."

"Mom?" Alana asked a bit puzzled and Indigo nodded.

"Mrs Lucinda King is your mother?"

"Yes."

"Wow this is a small world." Alana said shocked.

"Trust me it is." Indigo stood up to go call her mom.

She was happy to meet Alana after so long. Indigo notified her mother and they both went to Alana. They quickly went into business with both Lucinda and Indigo giving out ideas for the party, the theme they wanted. So far everything was good and Lucinda was impressed with Alana.

"Mrs King am afraid it's late now, I have to go." Alana said looking at the time.

"Come Alana it's still early don't leave now." Indigo was enjoying being in Alana's presence.

"She's right Alana why don't you stay for dinner." Lucinda said.

"I don't think.."

"I insist." Lucinda cut her off before she could finish and Alana had no choice but to agree.

"Okay Mrs King."

"Honey we are way past that formal stage call me Lucinda or Lucy."

"Okay Mrs, I mean Lucinda." Alana said laughing.

"You have a beautiful house by the way Lucinda."

"You mean this old thing."

"Yeah, it looks like it has so much history in it." Alana said standing up and going to see the pictures which were hung up in the wall.

She continued looking at the pictures and going from next to next until she reached the hallway. The pictures now were different. There was one picture which caught her attention.

There was a wolf and the more she looked closely at the painting she noticed that it wasn't a wolf but a Lycan and this one stood by itself on top of the mountain howling at the full moon and at the bottom there seemed to be a war and Lycans were fighting humans with guns and there were black wolves which were also fighting with these Lycans.

She touched the picture tracing it and somehow she felt the magic in the picture and she was sucked in it. She witnessed everything that was happening in that like she was present there herself. There was so much bloodshed, pain and anguish which she all felt. She wanted what ever she was feeling seeing to stop but she didn't know how to make it stop. A woman that wasn't in the picture appeared to her.

"You have to become whole Nova. Hard times are about to come you have to find yourself, The real you Esther Nova." The woman disappeared before she could ask anything.

How did she see her? What did she mean? Because she had concluded that her presence wasn't noticed in what was going on around her. She was more like a ghost.

Finally someone woke her up more like snapped her back to reality.
